That Night
Chapter 1
“Alice wake up I’ve made breakfast your going to be late for school!”My mom yelled from downstairs. I got up knowing if I didn’t my mom will come up and make me, I went to the bathroom but my brother Jonan was in there.
“Gosh jonan can’t you hurry up I’m going to be late for school!”I begged.
He immediately shouted “We got two toilets use your brain, go use the other one downstairs. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that my brother is kind of a jerk.
Now that he’s 19 he thinks he can do what he wants, well not under this roof.Yeah he’s 19 and he still lives with us weird or what? As long as he still lives in this house he can’t do anything without my mom’s permission.
After coming out of the bathroom I ran back upstairs to my bedroom, and just seeing the state of my room gives me a minor heart attack not because its messy because my mom will do the ‘DoneOver’ again..
*FLASHBACK* A year ago I woke up really late for school and I didn’t have the time to clean my bedroom so I rushed and went to school. I was in period 2 in my Spanish class and all you can hear is my mom shouting from the corridors. She barges in the classroom and says “well well well, look who it is” That moment I just wanted to jump out of the window. “Alice you didn’t clean your room today you think just because I’m your mother I would clean it for you? *I gulped* I was literally speechless I wanted to hang my head in shame. “M-Mom I, I.” I struggled to speak.”You got nothing to say? Huh well let see about how hygienic you are... you left your dirty underwear, under your bed “She grinned at me. The next thing you see her doing is taking my underwear out of a plastic bag. She comes up to my desk and puts it in the front pocket of my shirt.”I’m not having that under my roof” Tapping my shoulder, she walks away and goes. Leaving me in a class of people laughing at me. That whole 2 months I was a laughing stock. Everyone was giving me nicknames like Undies; Panties and Dirty undies. But I didn’t care what anyone had said the only person I cared about was Dean. The second day I went to school he saw me and smiled. That whole day I was wondering why he smiled was it because he was laughing at me or what I was so confused. That day he sent me a text saying “Hey Ezzy, you been ignoring me ey? Well yea we need to link come to the Funfair down the road on Saturday at 5:00 okay? Make sure you be there. ;)”.But I didn’t go... I had this really bad feeling that something bad was going to happen...
*Back to the story*
After tidying my bedroom and getting dressed I put a bit of makeup on and a slipped on some socks then started doing my hair.
When I was finished, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled when my mother knocked on my door.”Hunnie you’re going to be late for school, I’ve put your money on the table for your bus fair and lunch. Your breakfast is on the table too, I’m off to work take care sweetie, don’t get your self in trouble” She gave me a kiss on the cheek, smiled and walked off. I ran downstairs and I ate as fast as I could... running out of the house I ran to the bus top. *Beep, Beep* Dean was driving his new car... My heart raced to the moon and back...
