I like your eyes
Chapter 1
I opened my eyes slowly one after the other, almost scared to look at the clock... it was 6:46, in about an hour and a half I would have to go to school and face everything i'd ever feared. Ok so maybe i'm exagerating a little, it's not that scary but compared to lying here curled up under my blankets, it was freking terrorfying! I rolled out of bed and landed on the floor next to some tissues and a pile of socks. I grabbed my phone. Wow, 4 messages, I was famous! Actully no, 2 were from Telstra, one was from my Mum asking if i was home yet and one was form Mika my BFF asking me about the homework. I slipped on my fluffy pink uggs and stomped hown stares, my dressing gown trailing behind me. There was a note on the table from mum, she had to go into work early, typical. Ever since dad left us shes been working overtime. Even me working part time as a waitress and her working full time was hardly enough to keep us on out feet but whatever. Life wasnt that bad, school was ok, my grades were good and I had some friends. I plugged my Ipod into the speaker and turned up the volume. Never Say Never by The Fray started blaring out of the speakers. I sung along while making my toast and coffee. I eat a lot, well compared to the salad munching girls at school. I could never survive without my Nutella!
I looked at my reflection in the kettle. My long brown hair fell over my face.. I wish it wasnt so dark. I scoffed down my toast and drank my tea then went to get ready. I put on my favourite blue dress. Mika got it for me for my birthday because apparently 'blue brought out the colour of my eyes' and 'complemented my skin tone' which is weird becuse my eyes are brown and my skin is a creepy pail white colour. A
bout an hour and a half later I arrived at school. The same school I'd been at since Year 7. It was full of old vandelised lockers and people I'd known forever but something was different I thought. You know that feeling you get when you know something is different or something intresting is going to happen but you don't know what? I felt that. The day went on pretty normally untill Period 3 Literacy.
I arrived kinda late and slid into my chair trying not to look at anyone so I didnt notice that somebody was sitting next to me... he was a boy. He had pail skin like me and dark hair, almost black. He turned to look at me, his huge blue eyes sparkled but his face was expressionless. It lit up when he saw the Led Zepplin sticker on my folder though. "Hey" he said to me. His voice was fairly deep but not scary like most boys. "You like Led Zepplin" he looked at me and smiled "that's a nice change, I thought all girls in this crummy town only liked One Direction". "Haha most of them but not me" I smiled even though I was slightly nervous, Mika had told me about this boy. He was new this term because he got kicked out of his old school. She didn't know why but just told me to be careful around him. "So umm, I'm kinda lost, its my first day and stuff, could you help me find room 12? I have science there next." "Sure so do I" I giggled trying not to look too happy. I like your eyes he said to me. I blushed like crazy and buried my head in an exersise book...
