Haha it happens so often. I'm going to get all sciency here but it's what happens with echoic memory. Echoice memory takes 3-4 seconds to process and understand in the brain, wheras it only take 0.2-0.4 for iconic memory (which is visual stuff) So that's why sometimes you ask someone something, think that you don't hear it then a few seconds later, remember what they said. Sorry for all the science going on there, I found it interesting :) reply
