the random ramblings of a teenager to you...
I am past caring about myself. I’m tired of people always hating on others. I’m tired of everyone always having this picture in their own minds of what is perfect and what isn’t. I’m tired of the world always showing people the bad side and the people never trying to find the good side.
I write most of my quotes in the 'inspirational' category for all of you. I post them to show you that the world can be beautiful. The people can be beautiful. I know the world is made up of people who just want others to hurt and feel pain but look, I’m sat here typing this for what? If nobody cared then why would I be sitting here worrying about thousands of teenagers who cut, wish themselves dead, get bullied every day, and try to kill themselves?
Listen. People do care, so so many people care. People you may have never spoke to or know care. I sit reading quotes every single day by people who are depressed and want to die. I don’t know them or speak to them but they are beautiful. You are beautiful. Each and every person has something in their heart which makes them special. Different. What makes different so bad? Why does being yourself have to be such a terrible thing? Because other people makes you think that way… well forget the others. Be yourself, don’t try be copies of what people think is perfect, what I think is perfect is you. Just the way you are. If you are reading this right now it means you need someone here for you and I want you to know that even if you don’t know who I am or if we haven’t spoken I am always always here to listen to you. I want you to see how perfect this life can be.
If you end it now then how will you know what happiness was awaiting for you in 10 years time? Grow up (I don't mean that in a harsh way) and live your life. Find people who can carry you fowards and love you for who you are. It takes time but there is people out there exactly like you.
Next time you want to cut, stop and think. Look up at the stars and remember somebody else is doing the same thing. Imagine what they are going through compared to you. One day you could meet this person and that would be a friend for life. Next time you want to cut, don’t. Draw a tiny star every time you want to do it. Colour your arm in different coloured stars and then every time you look down you won’t hate yourself more. You will feel so so proud that you didn’t cut. And coming from someone who is trying to stop self-harming, it is an amazing feeling.
Next time. Stop. Look up. Imagine how amazing your future can be if you stop what you are doing, meet the people who are worth everything. Explore the beauty of the world. Smile. Perfect is just something society made up, it does not exist. But something that does exist is the millions of people who share your problems.
Smile, be happy, love every second. Do what the haters hate. Don’t let what they say affect you at all. You are beautiful. You are amazing. People do love you. You would be missed if you left tonight. You would never be forgotten so please don’t hurt others as well as yourself. Give it time and never stop smiling. The world needs more people like you, and to me, that’s what perfect is.
