Chapter Two Part Nine
Jax was already up when I woke up around noon.
"Mornin' Beautiful. How was your night?" He asked.
"Wonderful. Always is when you're there," I said with a smile.
"Great because we see the realtor in an hour and a half."
"Really?! That's great. I'll grab a granola bar then hit the shower."
Everything was finally coming together. If Jax and I are able to get this house, then we're pretty much set; all that we'd have left is the wedding plans. We have to figure out the whole wedding thing, fast. Alexa and Keaton are getting married the end of July, and it's already the middle of June, we don't have much time.
I practically flew down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab a granola bar. I was in and out before my mom could say anything to me about Blayne being back; and with her boyfriend at that. It wasn't something I wanted to talk about anytime soon. I finished the granola bar right before I was back up to my bedroom. It helps being the last door down the hallway. I grabbed two towels out of my closet, hung them up on the rod across from the shower and then plugged in the blow-dryer so it would be ready when I got out.
"Hey Babe, are my good jeans here?" Jax called.
"Hanging up in my closet opposite my jeans. I'm getting in the shower now," I yelled back.
It was a quick shower. Today was already a busy day and I haven't been up for more than a half hour. I'm definitely going to need a nap later today, I thought to myself. I walked out of my bathroom in just my towel. Jax wasn't in my room. Hmmm, he must be talking to my mom downstairs. I grabbed a pair of capris that haven't been worn down yet and then grabbed a light blue tank top and a darker blue plaid button up. I decided I didn't want straight hair today, and so I scrunched it to make it look curly. By the time I was dressed and had my make-up done, it was almost time to leave. Jax still wasn't in my room, so I went downstairs looking for him. First I went to the kitchen, he wasn't there, living room; not there, and then I remember how Jax and I would always go up on the roof when we needed to get away from everything. I walk back up the stairs to my room, climb out my window and onto the sturdy palm tree, and then onto the roof. Finally, I found Jax.
"You had me worried for a few minutes," I said walking up to him.
"Sorry. Shoulda told ya I was coming up here."
"It's alright, I remembered. But it's almost time to leave. What are you doing up here anyway?"
"Just thinking about everything."
"Everything... Like what?"
"The house, a wedding, our future kids," he said with a smile.
"No regrets?"
"No. Not at all. Just trying to figure out the prefect day to make you mine forever."
"End of this month?"
"That's 15 days Illy."
"Yea, I know. But I only plan on having Mom, Dad, Alexa, and I guess Blayne can come too. A big wedding has never really been my thing."
"Alright. Let's go then," he said standing up and jumping off of the roof.
"Come on Babe," he said holding his arms out.
"You better catch me!!" I said closing my eyes and jumping.
He caught me. I never doubted him for a second. He chased me to his car and opened the door for me when I went to reach for the handle. Then we were off to see my dream house. The realtor was waiting outside when we pulled up. Typical realtor wearing a button up blouse and a black pencil skirt.
"Hi, I'm Lalane and you must be Jaxson and Illiana Blackburn," she said reaching out her hand.
We all shook hands and then Lalane was showing us around the house.
"On the first floor we have the kitchen, family room, dining room, laundry room, and one full bathroom attached to one bedroom. The basement is finished and there's another full bathroom down there along with a bedroom. Up the stairs and to the left is the master bedroom and bathroom, to the right is a bedroom, a linen closet, and a full bathroom, then across from the bathroom is the last bedroom," Lalane told us.
Jax and I looked around on our own for a few minutes before going back downstairs to have Lalane shows us the backyard.
"The backyard has a covered patio and a fire pit with built-in seating; great for entertaining."
I ran and jumped on the couch. Comfortable. The yard was spacious and green. Great for parties, or kids; that's for sure. Jax came over and sat by me.
"So what do you think Babe?" he said.
"I think she talks a lot, and I love the house. We'll have a lot of growing in to do though."
"So it's a go then?"
"It's definitely a go!" I said leaning in to kiss Jax.
Jax got up to go and talk to Lalane. After sitting there for a few more minutes thinking about how great it would be to chase Jax's and my children around the yard, I got up to join them.
"Great, so we'll stop by around 2:30 PM tomorrow to make everything final," Jax was saying.
"Alright. See you then."
We shook hands again then left. When we got back to my house and walked in the door everyone was sitting in the living room, silent, waiting for us; both Mom and Dad, and Blayne and Aeidan.
