OH LORD THIS DAMN SONG!! I haven't heard in YEARS and it makes me think deeply every time. My boyfriend and I don't see each other often and I tell him something similar.
Look around love. You see the blue walls of our room? They are my eyes. You feel the warmth of the air? Its my hugs. Hear the house settling? Thats me walking around at night because I cant sleep. Just look around love. Im in everything. reply

here is what helps me...
I make flash cards. I dont EVER use them, but just making them helps me think. Reading in that language while speaking in english helps a TON for me, but you can only do that after you learn the basics. And I just learned (for spelling) that if you write the word over and over again (its annoying, yes) and then write the english meaning you both get a definition and proper spelling, which is huge for me especially because I can hardly spell proper english. Hope this helps! reply

Don't try to rush through the basics! (Learning verbs, grammar, and expressions). If you get the basics down from the beginning it will be easier for you to learn the rest :) reply

Keep revisiting the basics of stuff like grammar because its usually easier to learn and remember vocab than rules.

Write the words and what they mean over and over. I used to study that way for everything like writing my lecture and handouts over and over and then when i started taking spanish it seemed to really help. reply
