Chapter 3
We walk to Mr. Zurval's class and he stops us in the hallway. "Class, I am going to be giving you assigned seats this semester! I wrote numbers on the table. Ill tell you a number and you sit at the table" he announced. I leaned against the lockers. He kept calling names and I was one of the last people, Jasmine had been one of the firsts to be called. I see a girl running into the building. She was late. She slammed into the lockers next to me, panting. "Hey, what are we doing" she panted and asked me. "Um, he's assigning everyone seats." I say not looking at her. "Ugh, I hate Mr. Zurval" she says with an annoyed tone. "Um why? he seems nice.." I say trailing off. "Hah, no. He's probably the worst teacher at this school. Anyways, I'm Natalie, nice to meet you" she smiled at me. "Oh ha, nice to know. I'm Amalia." "Oh, that's pretty" she says, "Thanks". "Amalia" Mr. Zurval called out in the hallway, I walked over to him and he told me to sit at table 6.
I walked over and I noticed Jasmine was sitting there. "Heyy!" i say smiling dropping my bag on the table and sitting down. 'Yay, I wont be all alone" she said with a chuckle. No one was at this table except for me and her... awkward. Mr. Zurval walked in and Natalie followed after. She came over next to jasmine and sat down. "Hey Amalia" she smiled. "Oh jasmine, this is Natalie. I met her in the hallway like 5 seconds ago!" I giggle. "Hey Jasmine" Natalie says smiling at her. "Sooo, why didn't I see you guys last year?" she asked looking at us. "Oh, we're both new" jasmine answered. "Oh cool."
The day dragged on and on until 5th period with Mr. Wuu. He told us yesterday he would give us our assigned seats. After he placed all of us I realized Natalie was in front of me and then a girl I didn't know, but I knew her name, Stephanie . Next to them were two boys. One I had no clue of and then the boy from Mrs. Georgin's class. A girl named, Alyssa, sat next to me. "Hey, I'm Alyssa. You're new right? What's your name." she asked turning to me. "Names Amalia, and yea, I'm new. "
"Today you will be working with your table group partners!" Mr. Wuu said, "Get to work" . The two boys that sat next to Natalie and Stephanie moved their chairs to be in front of their desks. I started talking to Alyssa and then i noticed that boy staring at me again. I looked at him and smiled. I gotta admit, I liked this attention. We started at each other for about 15 seconds before I cracked a smile and looked away. "Don't worry about Justin " Alyssa said laughing, 'He thinks you're eyes are sexyyy" she said giggling. "No I don't" he protested. He looked at me, 'Don't listen to the" he said smiling. I rolled my eyes, "Kay". Natalie looks at me and smiles.
I am loving this attention from him. I guess my eyes pay off.
