CHAPTER ONE
Jayden Michaels
"Parker! Up, NOW" yelled Jayden to her oldest son.
"Okay! I'm UP!"
She couldn't believe it. Her oldest son was finally starting highschool. She was worried, for a lot more reasons than the average parent.
Drug addiction ran in her family, passed down from generation to generation.Everyone in her family that turned out addicted, started doing drugs in highschol.
"PARKER! I DONT HEAR YOU MOVING!"
"That's probably because I'm not!"
She also remembered her first year of highschool. The summer after eighth grade, right before she started ninth, she lost her three bestfriends. She knew the pain. She also knew she never wanted her son to go through that. He lost his father at six, so he didn't exactly know what happened. By now that he's almost fifteen he understood the pain and realized how badly he needed a father in his life as he got older.
She knew, that she couldn't allow him to lose anyone, and she didn't want him to get caught up with the wrong crowd. She couldn't lose him either. Parker and her two other children were all she had. Parker Blake, Xavier Carter, and Kassidy Rachel. She'd kill for all three. If she lost one of them, she wouldn't know how to carry on.
Jayden got so deep into her worst nightmare, she forgot to go up and make sure Parker got up.
"MOM! DONT COME IN! IM NAKED!"
"Thanks for the warning." Said Jayden, in a sarcastic voice. "Remember Park, I used to change your diapers, and hopefully things have changed a lot, or you'd be an unfortunate boy." she finished jokingly. Parker just rolled his eyes and flipped his mother off through the door.
Soon, Parker was ready for school, but he wasn't expecting the day that was coming.
