    Playing The Game
    Part four
I took a very deep breath before reluctantly opening the front door. The first thing to hit me was the smell. I smelled cigarette smoke and vodka. I was praying that my mother was already out. It’s a horrible thought, but I don’t want to have to deal with her while she’s drunk. She’s never been a happy drunk. It’s like every positive feeling she has in her body gets washed away by the alcohol.
Fortunately enough, she’s passed out on the couch. I crept into the kitchen to get my dinner so I wouldn’t have to take the risk of dealing with her later. As I sat in my room and did my first homework assignments of the year, I thought about Collin. As I finished my dinner I thought about Collin. As I washed my face and brushed my teeth I thought about Collin. Hell, I fell asleep thinking about him. That moment in front of my house just kept replaying.
    It was endless bliss.
can anyone who just happens to read this just give me a heads up if it's good or not. you can tell me if it's bad so i don't waste any more time on it. sorry this one was so short btw.

    Playing The Game
    Part three
As I was walking home, I heard footsteps behind me. “Hey, Alexis!” I heard that smooth voice I had heard in the cafeteria say.
“Hey, Collin!” I said a little too excited.
“Sorry about lunch. Brittany can be really…protective sometimes.”
“It’s alright. I don’t want to ruin anything.”
“We don’t have anything. Me and Brittany I mean…there’s no chemistry or anything.” I felt my heart start beating a little faster. “Actually, I don’t even have a girlfriend.” My heart was racing at this point. He smiled. He could clearly see I was happy about that.
We started to walk back to my house. Just as we turned the corner into my neighborhood, Collin grabbed my hand. “Sorry,” he said letting go. “I was kind of acting on impulse.”
“Well, that’s perfectly fine with me,” I said blushing and taking his hand back.
As we approached my house, Collin stopped dead in his tracks. I turned around. “What?”
“Well,” he said nervously, “since you’re fine with me acting on impulse, there’s something else I would like to try…”
    “Um…okay then…” I said a little confused.
He put his free hand on my cheek. His hand was rough from football, and warm. His eyes captured my attention more than anything though. They were curious and confident at the same time. They were screaming out words, but reserving them as well. His lips touched mine so gently, they were like rose petals. It was so exciting but so calming at the same time. Once we finally parted, I saw that his cheeks were a deep shade of pink. I giggled a little at the fact that he was blushing, which made him blush more.
“I guess I’ll see you at school tomorrow then…?” he said with a hopeful smile on his face. I was at a loss for words so I just nodded. I watched him as he walked away, before I had to enter the horrors of my home.

    Playing The Game
    Part two
“Um…Alexis?” I heard Jake say as he snapped in my face.
“Oh. S-sorry.” I stammered, still a bit mesmerized by the perfection of the boy down the hallway.
“I know who you were staring at. His name is Collin Brookshire. He’s a senior.” He explained.
“A senior?” I asked, very disappointed. There was no way a freshman girl like me could get a senior boy like him. I mean, he was so perfect and I was so…not.
“Yeah. Sorry, honey. There’s really no chance.” Jake said. He put his hand on my shoulder as we walked into class.
“Hello, class. My name is Mrs. Harrison. And I can see that you took the liberty of choosing your own seats, but I assign the seats as I wish.”
A large groan erupted from the class. “Nancy Armstrong, you will sit up here with Jacie Boulevard.” And that’s how she continued. “Alexis Lancaster, you will sit there with Jake Lenston.” Jake smiled as he proudly walked to his seat. I was happy to be next to someone I had already met.
The rest of the class was spent getting to know your partner, since you will be spending all year with them. The bell rang, signaling the end of 1st period. After 3rd and 4th periods I headed to the cafeteria for lunch. I saw Collin when I walked into the lunch room. I nearly started drooling.
“Hey, Alexis!” I heard Jake shout from behind me.
“Oh, hey Jake.” I said, reluctantly breaking my gaze from the extremely handsome boy. I only half paid attention as Jake talked about his math class. I absentmindedly stabbed my fork at my salad.
“Hey.” I heard another voice say behind me. I turned to see the gorgeousness standing over me.
“oh…um…uh h-hi…” I managed to get out. He smiled a little and asked if he could sit in the seat next to me. “you’re more than welcome to.” I said. I was glad I had gotten my speech under control.
He set his lunch tray down and sat. He looked at me for a minute with big brown eyes. They looked so warm and sweet. “My names Collin.” He said smiling and holding his hand out for me to shake. I nervously took it in mine.
    “I’m Alexis.” I returned.
    “I know.”
    “Uh…you know?”
“Well, I saw you in the hall this morning, and I overheard you introduce yourself to that nerdy kid over there.” He said pointing at Jake, who was madly scribbling down notes for a summer reading assignment he didn’t complete.
    “His names Jake.”
“Oh. Sorry.” His cheeks turned the lightest shade of pink.
“So…umm…” And that’s how the conversation ended. Another girl with platinum blonde hair, big boobs, lots of makeup, really tight jeans and a very low cut shirt came and dragged Collin away.
“Excuse me, Brittany. I was talking to someone.” He said gesturing to me.
“Well I don’t really care. Come on.” She said dragging him away. He reluctantly followed her. He looked disappointed.
I furiously threw away my trash. I knew it. I’ll always be beaten by the hot chicks. There’s no denying it. It just the way it always has been and always will be.
good so far? comment and lemme know...

    Playing The Game
    Part one
I walked into my new school, with my new jeans, my new shoes and my new shirt. I had just moved to Texas from my home in New York. This was my chance to start over, to make a new impression, to become a new person. I didn’t like my previous home at all. I’m an only child with only my mom. The worst thing is, I always come home to her passed out on the couch, drunk. I’ve basically had to raise myself for the past 3 years. Ever since dad left she’s been a mess.
But enough about that. I walked into the school administration office to get my schedule. “hold on a moment, miss.” The lady at the front desk said. She had a mess of curly blonde hair on top of her head. She had a very pointy nose, with bright green glasses perched on top of them. Her long, red nails scrambled furiously across her keyboard. After about 5 minutes she turned to me. “Can I help you with something, sweetheart?”
“I’m here to get my schedule,” I said.
    “name please?”
    “Alexis Lancaster.”
Once she heard my name her fingers went right back to scrambling across her keyboard. She finally found my schedule. She printed out a sheet of paper and handed it to me and said “Welcome to Trinity Highschool.”
I walked out of the office to go find my new locker. Locker number 436. It wasn’t hard to find. As I was placing my books into my locker, I hear a voice behind me.
    “Hey.”
I turned around to see a boy, about my height, wearing huge glasses, skinny jeans that were too big for him, converse and a white t-shirt. His curly brown hair fell into his face.
“My names Jake. I hear you’re new here this year. Alexis, right?”
“Yeah I’m Alexis. Nice to meet you, Jake.”
    “So what’s your first class?”
“ummm…” I said, fumbling for my schedule. “chemistry with Mrs. Harrison. What about you?”
“Same here!” he said excitedly. I liked Jake already. Just the way he stood and the way he talked. He seemed like he would be a really good friend.
So we decided to walk to chemistry together. As we talked about ourselves, our families, my last home in New York, his little sister, I saw him. Possibly the most beautiful person I had ever seen in my life. His perfect tan. His perfectly white teeth. The way his beach blonde hair swept across his forehead. The way his t-shirt outlined his very toned muscles. Just the way he stood was beautiful.
comment. lemme know what you think?
