The Summer That Changed Everything
Chapter Sixteen! ((Blair’s POV)) I ran back to my tent and changed in to white short shorts with a dark blue deep V neck shirt with my cute new light blue and lime green bikini under my clothes. I quickly redid my make-up and threw my hair up in a messy bun. Right on time Keagan pulled up to my camp site in his silver truck. I waved at him and jumped in. “Hey” he greeted me. “Hi.” “So why the sudden change in plans?” I looked into his eyes and bit my lip. Should I really tell this guy that I just met, all about my fight? It was kinda personal. But something about him made me trust him. So I told Keagan all the details of our fight. “Oh, and you were going to hang out with him tonight?” he asked after I got done explaining. I nodded my head slowly. “Well we obviously need to get your mind off of things!” he said with a smile. We spent the whole day playing on jet skis in the water until dinner time.“Man I’m starving!” spoke Keagan. “Same.” “Do you want to eat dinner with me?” Keagan offered. I thought about it for a minute, I should really get back to the camp site… oh well I’ll let them worry some more I thought as a smile crept to my face. “Okay that sounds good.” I said at last. I followed Keagan to his truck and jumped in. We pulled up to a cute little cottage tucked away in to the woods that surrounded the lake. Keagan took my hand and pulled me inside. “This is where you live?!” I exclaimed. “Uhm sometimes.” He murmured.“So, you like it?” he asked with a smile on his face.“I love it! It’s so cute!” the cottage wasn’t very big. It only had one bedroom and one bathroom and a mini kitchen without a stove, but had a microwave and a mini fridge. The window had a lacy cover over it, and the table had a nice flowery rug underneath it, witch I thought was a little to feminine for a guy’s cottage. I had to go pee, so I walked in to the restroom. After I got done I snooped through his cabinet trying to find some ibuprofen for my head ache. I shuffled boxes around; I stopped when I found a pink box that looked like a tampon box sitting next to some foundation that was Keagan’s skin tone. What the hell? I put it down and quickly came out of the restroom. i put on one of those nothing’s wrong smiles and looked around for Keagan, but he wasn’t in here. I stepped outside and saw him building a fire. “I thought we were going to eat dinner?” I asked. “Oh, we are silly, I thought it would be fun to roast hotdogs!” he said with a giant smile on his face which made me laugh. “Haha you’re right that would be pretty awesome.” He went inside to get the hotdogs and buns then we sat by the fire and roasted hotdogs. By the time we got done eating it was dark. “You know it’s perfect weather for roasting marshmallows.” Keagan said. “I haven’t done that in years! Go get the marshmallows! Haha.” Keagan came back out with a huge bag.“Do you think this will be enough?” he asked. “Umm definitely!” He grabbed two sticks and put a marshmallow on each of them and handed one to me. “Thanks” I said smiling. He sat down next to me and stuck his in the fire and I did the same. “Oh stuff!” I said 2 seconds later as I noticed mine was on fire. I pulled it out quickly. “AHH what do I do?!” I screamed. Keagan pulled the stick toward him and blew the fire out. “That.” He said with a smile after he got done blowing the fire out. “Now it’s burnt.” I whined. “Here give it to me, I like burnt ones.” He said. I watched as he slowly pulled the marshmallow off the stick and slipped it into his mouth. Marshmallow goo covered his fingers. He looked at his fingers then took his pointer finger and wiped it on the tip of my nose. “Hey what was that for?” I asked. “So I could do this.” he said while leaning forward and kissing my nose. “Aw my magic kiss didn’t work, the marshmallow is still there.” He joked. I giggled. He took a napkin and wiped the marshmallow off my nose and his fingers. I stared in to his magical green eyes and kissed him. He was startled at first but then wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed back. I draped my arms around his neck and slid my hands through his hair. We broke apart and leaned our foreheads together, staring into each other’s eyes.“Hey, can I uh crash here tonight?” I asked. “Yeah sure” He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his torso he made a little groan. “Am I too heavy for you?!” I asked quickly. “Oh, no I’m just... Sore from working out.” He carried me to his bed room and laid me on his bed. He grabbed some clothes and went to the restroom to changed. I took this as an opportunity to change to. I took off my shorts but left on my shirt and swimsuit since I forgot a bra and a thong. Ten minutes later Keagan came walking back into the bedroom with some plaid pants on and no shirt exposing his perfectly sculpted abs. He walked over to the bed and pulled back the worn quilt, he laid down on the bed. He looked up at me. “Are you ever going to quit gawking and lay down?” He joked. I blushed and lay on the bed in his arms. I leaned my head on his forearm and laid my hand on his chest. I heard him do a sharp intake of breath like I hurt him. What was wrong…? He took his other arm and slid his fingers through my hair combing it out of my face, then kissed my forehead. That night I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
