This Is My Life
It was the early hours of the morning a storm was rumbling through. Tho this wasn’t what had awaken me, it was the faint whimpers of my little four year old son who was in his room. I mentally cursed myself as I walked down the hallway to his room, he was curled up under a blanket clutching his favorite stuff animal tightly. I sat next to him and pushed back the blanket and cooed softly “Grayson it’s just a storm hun” I gently rubbed his back as he looked up at me his eyes sparkling with tears, his quiet voice cracked as he said “d-daddy I’m scared”. I scooped him and his stuff animal up “it’s okay to be scared” I said as I carried him to my room.
