I have anorexia....I'm really smart and self aware...that is a terrible thing for that girl to say. "anorexic people are stupid"? she clearly doesn't understand this disorder at all, and if you don't understand or actually suffer from anorexia, you have no room to judge people who have it or call them stupid....and actually, most anorexic people are highly intelligent, successful, kind and artistic....not stupid...being called stupid for having a serious mental disorder is just cruel....i actually got mad when i read this, but then again, being anorexic, I've heard worse insults reply

she should try understanding that being anorexic, depressed, bulimic, etc, is not a choice you make. It is a condition that only medicine and therapy can control. The disorder prevents the victim from wanting that help as all. It's not something people should judge others for. reply

You're friend sounds harsh and cold hearted, but opinions are opinions and we can't tell people what and what not to think or say. She should maybe consider the feelings of the people around her before she blurts something like this out. Everyone has a different mindset. reply

I'm not gonna say your friend's stupid, but she should try to understand that people have different reactions and something that she wouldn't really care about can hurt someone else really badly. And, yes, everyone does have something good in their life, but it could have disappeared in a flash or maybe they're more of a pessimist than an optimist. reply

I think that some people that suffer just react and deal with it differently, maybe cutting is the only way they can think of to feel relief if something goes wrong. That's my opinion. Not saying cutting is good but just like we cry when we are sad some people do different things like cutting. reply

Wow...this girl sounds like a real pain. Listen, I know you've heard it before, but life is ful kf people like that. Some will be nicer than others. And it sounds to be like you've been so strong about this whole thing. Just promise me that you don't let her get to you. I know it's tough. That cutting comment she made really made me angry cause I do cut, and
Not for attention. But it sounds like maybe shes not feeling lived at home so she comes into school and does everything she possibly can to be noticed. Have you thought about her family situation? Anyway, if she keeps this up and it gets worse, I'm begging you please see an adult about it. I let it get too out of hand, to the point where I attempted suicide. You are gorgeous and this girl has no right to be making you feel like this. I'm always here if you need anyone. Stay strong beautiful :) <3
