Your story....its so inspirational. I have also been depressed for about a year. I attempted suicide 3 times, and I couldn't go through with it. Someone also came to my school, John Halligan, Ryan Halligan's father. Ryan commit suicide when he was in 7th grade. The night before the assembly, I had overdosed, and I just wanted to die so bad it was ridiculous. I changed my mind, and I had to drink a whole fricken bottle of Pepto Bismol to live. That assembly, changed my life completely. I haven't had thoughts of self-harm or anything at all recently. I realized how hurt the people that love me would be if I had gone through with it. I have two sisters, one is 16 and one is 10. When I told my sister that I had taken those pills that night, she grabbed the bottle and said if I don't stop now, and if I don't save myself, she would take down the whole bottle. My little sister said that if I had gone through with it, she would set herself on fire, because there is no way she could ever live without me. My whole family would be nothing if I had gone through with it. Maybe we would all be together in heaven, maybe there is no heaven and I would never get to tell them how much I really love them. I thank god every single day for giving me another chance at life, even though I took the first chance for granted. I realize now, that a few people in school's opinions should not make or break me. I have my own outlook on life. And sometimes I wish I could tell my story to everyone at school so that every once in a while they would cut me some slack. Life can be rough sometimes, but that doesn't give anyone the right to be the reason someone else takes their own life away.

My info box on facebook says: "Some of the people in this world are sick. The things you say, the things you do, do you even think? Every small thing you say impacts someone. Next time you think about calling someone fat, or ugly, just remember your insult could be the reason why they're not here tomorrow. Just think."

And that is honestly what I believe in. I realized that letting these mean boys in school's opinions be the reason I kill myself, will only give them the satisfaction that they hurt me enough to drive me insane. Now, I know that not letting it bother me, causes them the most pain. They wouldn't be hurt if I had killed myself. Maybe a little guilty, but it proved that they were holding the steering wheel to my life. I told my mom this, and she told me to slam the brakes, kick them the outta my car, and run them over. I know, it's a little harsh, but it helped me to write my own story, and not let some try to write it for me. I wanted to prove that I had control over what happened in my story, and they don't have a say in when this book ends. Stay strong♥

heey okay this is weird, my name is natalie. and my ex-best friend's name is noelle. we used to be inseparable! just thought I'd let you know, cause your name is natalie- noelle and when people would say my name, noelle would usually come with it since we were like twins. :)
