Broken Hearted
//CHAPTER TWO - PART ONE\\
I kicked off my Nikes, and slipped on my wedges. I surveyed my rack of chains and slipped on a gold one. It was a bronze and gold owl, and on its stomach was a clock. I checked my reflection, and grinned in satisfaction.
"Perfect." I murmured, "But it needs one last touch."
My eyes wandered up and down my dresser, until they laid on the ring. The ring was given to me by him, and I still had it for unknown reasons. It had a silver band, and a navy stone. I picked it up by the jewel, and slid it on my pinkie. And then, I walked outside.
My plan had begun.

The air smelled like pine trees and cinnamon. The grass was laced with drops of water from the snow, and frost. The sky was an icy blue, and cloudless. The sun, which supplied no heat at this time of year, was shining and I shivered in the coldness. I slid into the seat on my white Volvo. I shut the door hurriedly, and cranked up the heat. I leaned back in ease. Then, I turned the ignition, and backed out of the driveway. I smiled to myself as my plan replayed in my head.
I straightened my bow, and pulled my skirt down a little bit. My toes were frozen from walking in snow in sandals, but overall, I was warm. I glanced at my leggings, wondering if I should take them off. Students passed me, bumping my shoulders and hips.
"They look fine." I murmured to myself as I ducked into my homeroom.
I slid into the cold, metal chair, and watched the clock tick slowly.
Tick, tock, tick, tock.
The bell rang for class to start, just as Kyle crept into the classroom. I smiled to myself, and flipped my golden locks back. I brushed my bangs from my side, and glued my pupils to him. He noticed and stopped, staring back. His expression was unreadable, but his eyes were the opposite.
They were full of regret and sadness, and seemed to darken as the seconds past. His hazel suddenly looked nearly black to me now.
"Kyle?" The teacher asked, obviously annoyed. Kyle noticed where he was staring and quickly hid his face, but I knew he was blushing.

Hours later, I slipped into the lunch room, searching for Kyle's intoxicating brown eyes. I meet them, and grin evilly in delight. Time for part two of step one. My sandals clicking heavily as I walked and squeezed behind him in the line for lunch. No one noticed, not even the person I had gotten in front of.
I flipped my hair, and smacked my lips. I twirled my hair aimlessly around my pinkie, waiting for the right moment. Then, right as Teresa caught my eye, I bumped into Kyle and attempted to tumble to the floor.
