It transfers energy and give the person you are hugging and emotional boost. You need 4 hugs a day for survival, eight for maintinance, and 12 for growth. Scientists say that hugging is a form of communication because it says things that we don't have the words for. And the nicest thing about a hug is, usually, when you give one, you get one back.
