Too Good to be True
Chapter 2
Maxx's P.O.V
I bawled all the way to Jared's house. Finally, I stopped crying and got out of my car, went up to Jared's front door and rang the bell.
"Hey. Are you all right?" He said when he opened the door. I broke down instantly. I must've looked terrible, masscara running down my face, my hair tangled in a huge knot. He grabbed me and held me tight, refusing to let go. He helped me inside and brought me to his room so we could talk without his parents interupting.
"I'll be right back." he smiled and left his room. I sat on his bed looking around at all the posters and pictures laughing at the ones of him when he was little.
"What's so funny?" he said as he walked in with two bowls.
"Nothing." I smiled.
"Here." he laughed and handed me a bowl of ice cream, completely drenched in chocolate syrup. I smiled, and we sat and ate our ice cream in silence for a couple seconds, Jared finally breaking the silence.
"So, what happened Maxx?" I sat there for a couple seconds wanting to forget what happened.
"Let's just say, you were right." I told him what happened, from Stefanie Vaughn to Ryan calling me a sl/ut. Jared just sat there, not saying anything.
"Come Here." He said opening his arms. I scooted next to him, practically falling in his arms. He held me, for a while. I was crying again.
"Please Maxx, stop crying. I hate seeing you like this."
"I can't help it. I'm sorry." We layed on his bed for a while, talking about random things, he said something about our childhood and I started laughing,
"You're so pretty when you laugh."
"Ha, no I'm not, you're a liar."
"I'm serious Maxx." I was silent. "You're my bestfriend, so I can trust you with this right?"
"Yeah?"
"I've loved you since the first time I met you. The first day of second grade, you just moved here and you didn't know anybody, you had your hair in pigtails, wearing a Pink Hello Kitty shirt. You came up to me during recess and said, 'I like you, will you be my friend?' And I never stopped loving you since."
"Jared, why didn't you tell me?"
"Cause I was afraid to, I mean, you were my best friend and thats all you think of me right?" I just sat there. "Say something, please?"
The next thing I did through him off gaurd, through me off gaurd, I looked into his deep blue eyes, leaned over and kissed him. Pationately. And he kissed me back.
Hint: So.. friends right?
