Dear Jack,
Another year, huh? Seems like the summer flew.
I know we fight all the time, and I know that I say I enjoy the months that you're away at college, but I do miss you sometimes. In fact, I miss you a lot.
I miss the Christmas Eve nights when you used to let me sleep on your floor in your attic bedroom so that I could try and listen for "Santa" on the roof.
I miss the times when we used to fight over the controllers because according to us, "The gold one works better!"
I miss the times when you used to play catch with me in the back yard because I wouldn't leave you alone until you did.
I miss the times when we played "Name the City" on the three hour car ride to Baltimore that we made every other week.
I miss the times when we used to have full-out wrestling matches over the remote.
I miss the times when we actually had to flip a coin to decide whether or not you would drive me where I wanted to go.
I know that I spent most of the summer annoyed with you, or annoying you, but the truth is I kind of wish I had it back. You won't be back next summer, and I'll miss you like crazy, but everyone's got to grow up at some point. Including me.
You're not really my annoying teenage brother anymore, and to be honest, that thought kind of scares me. But that's life, and I hope you're enjoying yours. You've definately grown up over the past two years.
Treat Jill (By the way, that's not a joke. Yes, they are "Jack and Jill".) like gold, don't party too hard, and don't forget the little sister you left behind in lil' old Dunmore.
Happy 20th Birthday, Big Bro. I hope you have another great year.
Strangely enough, missing our fights over the gold controller,
Your annoying little sister.
