Nothing is normal. You just don't go out of your way to brag about being weird and obnoxious. Girls just do it to seem cute and get attention. There's nothing wrong with being average, but I'm sure you're not. You're just not obnoxious. reply

Thank goodness you haven't witnessed someone die... It's awful. I've seen them die and I've seen them stop living but go on as a livingdead. It's terrible both ways and I hope you never have to witness it reply

i can imagine how that feels :/ have had similar situations. If your beating yourself up about not realising, or not knowing, just remember that seriously we are teenagers and young people and we have developing a thousand and one ways to hide what we want to from the rest of the world, especially the people we love.
But what you need to remember is it's not about the fact you didn;t know, its about what you do KNOW. Just giving her that support and acceptance and love that will give her the confidence to love herself again to love herself again, and it will make the scars fade inside. That's the most important thing ... when there are no scars inside, she'll stop needing to make them outside. It will help, trust me.
