Stare at my reflection,
Hoping to see,
Some beautiful figure,
Glancing back at me,
Killed of all hopes,
Drained of all faith,
Filled with all hurt,
Covered in all pain,
Pick apart myself,
To see where I’ve gone wrong,
Try to find an answer,
To where I might belong,
Compared to the photos,
Cluttered in my head,
I seem so imperfect,
And slowly consider death,
Who is this figure?
Why are you here?
Why aren’t you beautiful?
Lovely or dear?
This can’t be my reflection,
Hideous and unseen,
So I shattered the mirror,
So I wouldn’t believe,
Cut myself with the shattered glass,
The puzzle that caused me pain,
This was the reflection,
It was me who was to blame,
I couldn’t see my beauty,
Hidden from my eyes,
Trapped behind the reflection,
Who wished me to die,
The reflection was my evil,
Turning into my bitter enemy,
Causing all my pain,
Making me hate and blinding me,
So I shattered the mirror,
So I wouldn’t believe,
Cut myself with the shattered glass,
The puzzle that caused me pain,
This was the reflection,
It was me who was to blame,
I couldn’t see my beauty,
Hidden from my eyes,
Trapped behind the reflection,
Who wished me to die,
The reflection was my evil,
Turning into my bitter enemy,
Causing all my pain,
Making me hate and blinding me,
