Omg you do not understand how similar my situation is. I thought I was the only one feeling like this. I absolutely love music and musical theater but I want to pursue a career in science, and biology. Mainly, I want to be an oncologist. But I can't decide since music is literally half my life, I love it so much. I'm so torn right now I don't know what to do. I think I'm going to pursue biology and keep music as a HUGE hobby. :/ we'll see how that works out... reply

I say you could study for marine biology or something, (you'll have to do your research, it'll at LEAST be four years in college for a science career like that) and sell artwork on the side, maybe take an art class or two. That way, when you are pursuing a career, you'll have two incomes. Because being an artist really is a risky situation, (not all of them have a steady income that they can depend on, because most artists are self-sufficent) so that way you'll be a scientist, and art will be more of a hobby side job that you do in your free time. reply
