Omg..that happened to me as well once.
Well first of all,just breathe (lol?) and think about the positive things..( ikr, bad advice,eh? )
don't get too worked out over it,at the end,you might actually like your school.
Anywho,try talking to people and making friend,see if theres anyone with the same interests as you.
As far as i know,when a new kid joins a class..most people get really excited c:
