Day 3- Your Parents
Dear Mom & Dad,
I am so blessed to have you two for such amazing parents. As I am an only child, we get to do lots of things together, just the three of us, and I am glad that we do. I always have fun, no matter what we're doing together, and even though sometimes I act like a typical teenager, I can never stay mad at you. Because if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here.
Mom, I know that sometimes (more often than not) we get into arguments, mostly over stupid things... Sometimes we misunderstand eachother, but I am so happy to have you as a mother. You are always kind and caring, fixing me snacks when I get home from school, taking care of me when I'm sick, all that stuff. I truly appreciate it, with every morsel of my being. I am sorry for all the times that I lose my patientce and all the times I don't listen or talk back. Because I really do appreciate everything you do for me, and I think you are the best mom ever.
Dad, we always have fun together. You are so funny and always know how to make me laugh. You know me better than I know myself, and I can always rely on you to put me in a good mood. When you have to go away for a while on work meetings, I miss you a lot. Sometimes I even cry when you leave because I like everyone to be happy and at home together. Ever since I was a little girl, you would always chase the monsters from beneath my bed, get rid of that creepy moth flitting around in the corner of my room, or shoo that ugly spider outside from my wall. All the little things make you the best dad anyone could ask for.
So, I just wanted to say thank you for being the best parents in the world, and thank you for always loving me and caring for me every day, but most of all, thank you just for being my parents.
Love always,
Lauryn :)
