Day 5- Your Dreams
Dear Dreams,
You are my one escape to a bad day. When I close my eyes at night, i look forward to shutting down and going to a realm where everything and anything can happen, and no one can stop me from doing what i want or saying what i want.
You also hold my worst nightmares. As a child waking up with tears streaming down my face, a loud clap of thunder out my door, i thought that i would never love a dream again... as easily as you can make me happy, you can tear my heart apart as well. and only you know how to. Because you are me. All of my thoughts and feelings go into what you give me in the form of an interactive movie. It's like a second life- where i can live and breathe, but know that it won't affect me when i wake up. you give me the perfect dates with my crush, the wonderful aced test, and the superpower to soar away from the ground if i need to. But you also give me my house enveloped in flames, and the one thing that could break me completely. The only thing that comforts me is that you won't ever tell anyone else what that thing is.
You in a way, show me how i really feel. the unaffected-by-society feelings and actions that i wish in my head i could follow through. I am not judged in my dreams. I am not made fun of, laughed at, or socially awkward. My dreams are who i really am, and if you could know my dreams, then and only then could you truly judge me.
So, thank you my dreams, for showing me who i really am, and for reminding me of what is truly important in my life.
