Funny how she's my savior and she doesn't even know it.
That without her calling me at the right time on the right day, I probably wouldn't be alive right now.
I would have fallen victim to my emotional pain and took my own life that day three years ago.
But she saved me from myself, and she doesn't even know it happened.
She doesn't know that I was sitting there on my bed. Note written. Pills in my hand when she called.
She said she just wanted to hear the sound of my voice.
We talked for hours. About nothing. About everything. We sat in comfortable silences with just our breathing passing between us.
She ended the call with a chuckle and said, "I don't know what I would ever do without you," and hung up.
I tossed the note into the fireplace and threw away the pills.
From then on, I tried.
I started eating more. I stopped drinking as much. I laughed a little louder and smiled a little brighter.
I wasn't even doing it for myself.
I wasn't doing it to fix my own life. I wasn't doing it to make something of my life.
I was doing it because I knew that she would blame herself if anything ever happened to me.
And so that day, a girl who doesn't believe in a God found her guardian angel.
Forever greatful to a friend who stuck by me even during my lowest moments.
A friend who loved me before i even knew how to love myself.
A friend who saved me from myself.

In life, there are going to be countless people who break your heart and are gonna make you cry.
and you cry over all of them even though majority of them aren't even worth it.
So instead of thinking you are falling in love with every person you meet,
wait.
wait for the person who calls you just to see how you're doing.
the person who will sit with you in silence and is just happy you are togther.
with whom you can be doing anything or nothing and be having the best time of your lives.
the person who calls you pretty on your ugliest of days
and knows you want to be kissed in the rain.
the one who knows everything about you and is ok with it. because thats who they fell in love with.
the real you.
not just the person you pretend to be.
the person who comes over with only the intention to keep you company
help you with your chores
or sit by you when you're sick.
the one who knows your family and your family loves.
the person who doesn't have to tell you that they love you
because you know it without it being spoken.
you know you are perfect for eachother
and dont need to worry about getting along.
it's people like that that we are made for
the people who we are compleatly compatible with.

and now you know everything

because i had to trust you
and tell you my biggest secret
just to end things between us.
