dear people who always make anti-suicide quotes,
telling people not to commit suicide doesn't help. to me, it honestly just makes things worse. people have been telling us what to do our whole lives... so how do you think telling us what to do will help? don't cut. don't burn. don't kill yourself. people will miss you! yeah, well how do you know? our parents would be upset if they found us? yeah, for a time. but ever stop and think, maybe the parents ARE the problem? bet you didn't. and all your reasons for why you think we're so depressed are not all true. so that boy doesn't love us? yeah, that makes us sad, but not THAT sad. we don't get alone with our parents? have you met a teenager who has a perfect parental relationship? there's so much more going on than what you're thinking. Depression can be caused by factors related to one's biology (body chemistry and brain function), genetics (heredity), environment (stress, trauma, etc.), or medical conditions (physical problems, disease, etc.). low self worth, being hurt constantly by the ones you care about most (notice how i said ONES with an s, because it's never just one person), and being in a bad mood overall do not cause depression. they merely make us sad. it is a combination of these things for extended amounts of time at high levels that cause it, but that is only one way the disease developes.
i've gone off on a rant, but back to the main point. stop telling us not to commit suicide. stop telling us not to hurt ourselves. if we REALLY want to, we will. there's nothing you can say or do to stop us. saying we're beautiful or that we're worth it doesn't do anything, especially when our minds are already set to see the bad in everything. that's just how we are. i am going to call one person out in specific, but i know there are tons of others of you who do this as well. please don't get mad at me, i'm just making a point.

you are a top quoter, so most of the time your quotes are visible on the first or second page of top quotes. you're favorite topic lately seems to beabout trying to convince teens to not commit suicide. some people may say 'oh thank you, this quote saved me' and blahblahblah. i honestly don't believe any of them have ever been truly depressed. to be brutally honest, you're quotes are more annoyances to me than anything.
take it from someone who has been diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and a few other mood disorders.
what you're saying? it doesn't help
