   Double Trouble Chapter 21
   PART 2 OF 2
   I didn't turn to look at him, to see how close behind he was.
   I just ran and ran until I barely recognised where I was anymore but I still
   ran until I was almost definite he's gone. I slumped down against
   the padded seats of the milkshake bar. Surely he wouldn't find me here.
   "May I take your order?" A waiter asked, looking me up and down.
   I might as well buy something now i'm here.
   "I'll take a chocolate brownie milkshake please." I replied.
   "Okay, that'll be three dollars."
   After scrambling around in my pockets I pulled out five dollars and handed it over to the waiter. "Thank you miss." He mumbled while walking off. I leaned back into my seat,
   closing my eyes for just a second. When I re-opened them I was staring back into Ed's eyes.
   "You bunking too then, ey?" He asked me.
   "Yeah I guess you could say that." I responded.
   "Bit of a suprise seeing you here." "I could say the same thing to you."
   I turned to face the waiter as he placed my milkshake on the table infront of me.
   "Enjoy your milkshake and thanks for choosing Mi-Shake." He smiled.
   My stomach began to feel jittery as I took the first sip of the chocolatey ice-cream.
   "Sorry, I ordered it before you arrived." I apologized.
   "It's fine."
   "Want a sip?" I offered, leaning out and holding the milkshake in front of Ed.
   He smiled at me and took the milkshake from my hand. After a couple of minutes
   I realised I was staring at him. The realisation caused my cheeks to flush red as
   looked away quickly hoping he hadn't noticed. "Don't worry, I don't have any contagious diseases." He laughed, handing me back the milkshake. I joined in with the laughter as I began to drink what's left of my milkshake, somehow being with Ed had almost made me forget about this mornings dramatic events. "So what do you want to do after this?" He asked. "Well, i'm not sure, I didn't really plan that far ahead."
   "How about a look around the mall and if you're
   good i'll give you a special treat." He laughed winking at me.
   "Oh and what will that special treat be?"
   "You'll have to wait and see, depends how well behaved you are today." He joked.
   I laughed as we both stood and walked out the shop side by side.
   "Where exactly are we going?"
   "Hmmm, how about a look round Forever 21?"
   "Yippee." Ed muttered sarcastically.
   "But if you don't then-"
   "I'm just joking Lucy, we can go wherever you want."
   I narrowed my eyes away from him as I spoke shyly, "Thanks Eddie."

   "How about this one?" I asked, holding the pink dress against me.
   "Stunning, yet again." He smiled.
   "But I don't know, I love the color on this one, but yet the other one is just-"
   "Then get them both."
   "I can't afford both of them!"
   "Consider it on me."
   "Really?" I gasp.
   "Yes really."
   Clutching both dresses in my hand I ran over to Ed and gave him a warm friendly hug.
   "Thank you so much." I said politely. "Are you sure you have enough cash though?"
   "Yeah it's fine." Luckily for us there was no que,
   "Would you like a bag with that?" The cashier asked.
   "Yes please." Ed responded.
   "Okay then, that's fifty dollars."
   I gasp and Ed just smiles as he hands over the money.
   "Here's your receipt, have a nice day."
   Ed drove in silence, as he pulled up into the driveway of my apartment.
   I let out a sigh of relief as I see Jason isn't quite back yet. He cut the engine off and unlocked the doors. "Thanks for, um today." I mumbled.
   "Anytime." Ed smiled.
   "I guess i'll see you at school unless you're bunking tomorrow too."
   He leaned back into his chair, adjusting himself into a comfortable slouchy position.
   "We'll see, I haven't decided yet."
   I pulled the car door handle and swing the door open. The bags weighed down my arms
   as I tried to shut the car door. "Bye." I shouted whilst slamming the door shut.
   I reached into my pocket and pulled out my key. As I unlocked the door and took a step
   inside, I looked up to see myself standing face to face with Jason.
   "How come your car isn't there?" I asked.
   "A mate from college borrowed it but more importantly, where have you been all day?"
   "Doesn't really matter, just out."
   "And, with who?"
   "A friend from school."
   "What friend?"
   "You're not my dad, it's really none of your business."
   "Lucy, tell me." He said his voice suddenly turning cold.
   "Jason, it's n o n e of your business!" I replied raising my voice as I pushed past him.

   Double Trouble Chapter 21
   PART 1 OF 2
   I creeped across the hall trying to be as quiet as possible.
   If I don't leave now Jason will be awake and I just can't face talking to him
   after yesterday. I freeze as a quiet mumble comes from under the door of his room.
   "He's waking up." I panicked. "I need to leave now."
   If I leave now, i'll probably reach school around 8am, I'll have to hang around outside the gates for awhile but I can deal with that. Each step down the stairs sounded like
   an earthquake in this silent house. Once i'd reached the bottom of the stairs
   I used all my strength to push the stiff front door open, I slid my headphones into
   my ears and began strolling down the street. The sound of Dubstep blasted through
   my speakers as I mouthed along the words. "Lucy?" A voice behind me called.
   I turned around to face them and ended up face to face with Brandon.
   Our eyes connected as I tried to take a step backwards but he wrapped his arms
   around my waist and pulled me close to him. "Let's go for a little walk." He whispered
   into my neck. He led me down unfamiliar roads for what felt like hours but I didn't
   fight back or try and escape, I knew what Brandon was capable of and I wasn't willing
   to find out again. Suddenly, I felt the cold hard wall pressed against my back.
   I looked around, we were in a small alleyway the other side of town.
   Jason's cold icy hands traced along the outline of my jaw and down the back of my neck.
   "Get off me." I protested.
   "Ssh!" Brandon smiled pressing a finger to my lips.
   His hand slid up the back of my blue tank top and unhooked my bra. I tried to
   pull away but his grasp around my waist tightened and I knew I stood no chance.
   "Seriously Brandon, get the f*ck off me!" I screamed.
   His arm began to slide back down my top and round to the front of my body.
   I looked up into his stone, cold eyes and he just smiled. Click, click.
   He unlocked the buttons on my shorts. "Please Brandon, no." I begged, but he just
   laughed and attempted to pull off my shorts. I knew I had no choice, nobody's around, nobody's going to save me. I had to do what i've always done, I had to fight for myself.
   So I lifted my foot and kicked him straight in the crotch. I watched as he fell to
   his knees his hands clutched between his legs. Without hesitation I ran, as fast as I could.
   I didn't know where I was heading but I needed to get away. The kick wouldn't have
   given me much time, he's probably looking for me right now, planning his revenge.
   I know what he's capable of when he's mad, i've felt what he's capable of.
   A shiver runs down my spine as the memories of that night begin to haunt me once again.
   I could almost feel each punch and kick and the burning of my skin as he held the lighter against it. He just stood there watching me, watching me scream and cry in pain.
   Then he locked me up in his garage, he tied me to the chair and left me there
   for 3 f*cking days only coming in to give me a small glass of water once a day.
   Another shiver ran down my spine as I focused on the present.
   "Baby girl, there's no need to be so mean. I just want a little fun." I heard him shout.

   Double Trouble Chapter 20
   I pushed my way through the crowd, trying my best to stay out of everybody's way.
   "They'd probably like that better." I mumbled to myself. Being at this school is bad enough,
   but having the whole school basically hate you, except for maybe a few people, is even worse. "Watch where you're going, Lucy." Rebbecca threatend, while smirking down at me.
   I rolled my eyes, then began gathering my books which were now sprawled all over the floor.
   I let my hair fall down over my face to cover the red blush that had appeared on my cheeks.
   Once all my books were safely placed back in my back pack I stood up again letting my
   long hair fall lightly around my shoulders. The blush had almost disappeared and my
   usual gloomy expression was back. I found my way to history quite easily and sat down in my
   seat at the back. "Please can I switch seats?" Amy pleaded.
   "No, miss Jespen. I have already told you, the seats you chose at
   the beginning of the year are the seats you stay in." Mr Brooker said sternly.
   I watched as Amy rolled her eyes and stormed over to me. She moved her
   chair as far away from me as possible and hung off the edge of the chair.
   "You know, you're going to have to talk to me sometime." I muttered.
   "Well i'll only talk to you in history then." She said, turning to face me.
   I smiled, i'm one step closer to getting my best friend back. The rest of the school day
   actually went pretty well. Rebbecca didn't make anymore appearances and I managed to understand the work in class. I strolled over to my Jasons car which was pulled up the other side of the parking lot. "Scared someone might catch us together?" I joked as I climb into the car.
   "No." Jason replied coldly.
   "Are you okay?" I asked smiling, but he shot me a look that had me frozen.
   "I don't know." He sighed.
   I watched as his eyes shifted back to the road. What did I do?
   Last time we talked he seemed perfectly happy.
   "Bad day?"
   "I guess, you can say that."
   "What happened?"
   "Look, Lucy. I don't want to talk about it." He yelled.
   "Okay, okay." I sighed.
   The rest of the car ride was rather quiet except for the songs playing on the radio.
   Jason was still mad and I couldn't help but wonder why. As we pulled up into the drive,
   I opened my mouth to ask but he shot me another look that made me stop in my tracks.
   Jason unlocked the door and I patiently waited behind him.
   He swung the door open and stomped off, straight up the stairs.
   I let out a sigh and pushed the front door shut. I headed straight for the kitchen and
   pulled a bottle of vodka out the fridge. "Time to drink the pain away. " I thought to myself.
   The taste of the vodka sent a relaxing feeling into my stomach as the liquid poured into my mouth. Two bottles later, I found myself stumbling around the room searching for the light switch.
   Since when was it so dark? I must have fallen asleep at some point.
   The light revealed the clock in the corner of the room, 7pm.
   I decided to go see if Jason was awake.
   The lights were all off upstairs which made me assume Jason was asleep.
   I stumbled up the stairs, my vision blurred from all the alcohol. I froze,
   at the sudden knock on the door. I sighed before spinning on my heels and stumbling
   back down the stairs. The annoying chime of the doorbell rang again.
   "I'm coming!" I screeched.
   Once I reached the door, I slammed it open.
   I looked down into the innocent eyes of the little girl scouts.
   "Do you want some cookies?" The first little girl asked.
   "No." I snap, slamming the door in their faces.
   "Well that was rude."
   "Well, i'm not the only one being rude today, am I?" I smirked.
   "At least I have a reason."
   "And who says I don't?" I argued.
   "Yes well mine isn't just because i'm drunk, Lucy." Something about the way he said my name sends shivers down my spine.
   "Who said this was all about me being drunk?" I shouted.
   He didnt reply, he just started biting his lip and staring into the darkness.
   "Whatever." He said finally.
   "Really? You're just going to end this with, whatever?"
   "Yes." He snapped.
   I shook my head and strolled into the kitchen to find something else to drink.
   I searched around in the cramped fridge and settled with a raspberry vodka.
   The cold icy drink refreshed my mind and gave me the same cool,
   relaxing feeling as it did the first few times.
   "I think you've had enough." Jason said, snatching the bottle from my hand.
   "Hey, give it back!" I yelled.
   "No chance." And before I knew it Jason was picking me up in his arms and carrying me up the stairs. I wanted to fight back. I wanted to scream, and kick but I didn't. Instead I just layed there in his arms. My bedroom door creaked open and he tucked me into bed. I felt the brush of his fingers as he pulled the duvet up over my shivering body and dropped it just below my chin. He sat there for a moment to tuck my hair behind my ear. I faked a smile even though deep inside I wanted to cry. Then he pressed his lips against my forehead and walked away silently, without a look back.

   Double Trouble Chapter 19
   I awoke to the loud noise of my alarm clock and my stomach growling. I'd better get ready for school quickly. I scanned my wardrobe for something to wear, ignoring the school uniform rules. I picked out a lace pink top and dark blue jeans with yellow flip flops. As I turned up the radio I began singing along, 'if I was your boyfriend i'd never let you go'. I slid off my pyjama top and replaced it with a white bandeau and the pink top. As I pulled off my jeans my foot got stuck and I found myself falling over sideways into the side of my bed. I found the strength to stand back up and carefully continued putting my jeans on. While I was walking out the door I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My eyes had dark heavy circles under them from crying and I had a spot appearing on my forehead. I sighed and reached into my make up bag for some foundation. The bags under my eyes and the spot were almost gone by the time i'd finished applying it. I tided up my hair a little with the hairbrush and switched off the radio.
   ''Lucy.'' I heard Jason call from the bottom of the stairs.
   ''Yes?'' ''We need to get going or you're going to be late.''
   I rolled my eyes. He really thinks I give a damn about being late? He handed me my bag when I reached the bottom of the stairs, and I took his hand as we walked to the car. The smell of muffins wafted into the air and a grin appeared across my face. It had become a regular thing now, Jason driving me to school occasionally bringing me treats too. I took a bite into my blueberry muffin and turned to face Jason.
   ''Can I ask you something?" I mumbled.
   ''Yes, what is it?"
   "Well.. is there an us or are we still just Lucy and Jason?"
   "What do you mean?" He asked a confused look spreading across his face.
   ''Where do we stand? You know, are we a couple or not?"
   I looked out into the road as we had started pulling up in the school car park.
   ''Well i've always thought of us as something more than just a couple.'' He smiled planting a kiss on the tip of my nose. I smiled back as I climbed out the car. My eyes searched the bodies of the busy school entrance looking for a sign of amys bleach blonde hair or piercing blue eyes. She didn't seem to be around so I decided to wait until lunch to look for her. Making a stop at my locker to get my math book, I began heading to my first class.
   ''So what time should I come over tonight?'' Ed asks.
   ''Is five okay? I ask.
   ''Sure.'' ''Thanks for the help.''
   ''Anytime.'' He smiles back.
   I watch as my math teacher hands out the tests and I cross my fingers hoping I got a good grade. He places mine on the table infront of me and my eyes flashed with happiness. I ran my fingers over the grade at the top of the test paper. ''I got an A!'' I shouted at Ed. ''Congratulations! I guess you won't be needing the extra help soon."
   ''Oh I wouldn't be sure about that.'' I laughed. I bit my lip to stop me from screaming with happiness. I'd never gotten an A in math before. As the second bell rings for lunch I get up quickly. ''In a hurry, Lucy?" My math teacher asked me. I chose to ignore her. Row by row she dismissed the class leaving my row until last. I can't help but think she did that on purpose, just to see my reaction. ''And finally, the rest of you can go." I let out a sigh of relief and half ran, half walked down the stairs. I jumped to a stop as I almost bumped into a couple kissing in the middle of the hallway. ''Really guys?" I shouted. They didn't move apart but the girl opened her eyes to glare at me. I glared back and swerved past them. Just as I reached the cafeteria doors, I caught a glimpse of Amy. "Amy!" I shout. She didnt look up she just continued staring down at her salad. Pulling away a chair from another table, I sat down in front her. Yet still she doesn't look up.
   ''You can't stay mad at me forever." I muttered.
   "Want a bet?" She said coldly.
   "Oh come on Amy. I said sorry, what more can I do?"
   "Break up with him." "I can't really do that."
   "Why?"
   "I like him, can I just be happy? I found a guy I like. He lives with me it all makes sense. If I break up with him everything will be ruined."
   "Not if you being happy means I have to suffer and come on Lucy, it's already ruining things. It's ruined our friendship." She yelled loudly. I watched as she threw her salad in the trash and stormed out the cafeteria leaving me sitting alone. Everybody's eyes turned to me. Amy shouted so loud I wouldn't be surprised if even the president was watching me. I searched for my bag under the table and hitched it up onto my shoulder. Holding my head high I stormed out of the room everybody was watching me.
   ''So X equals what?" Ed asked.
   ''Um... 162?"
   "Yes! You got it right!" Ed held up his hand for me to high five and I slapped it happily. ''You're actually pretty smart when you put your mind to things." '
   'Thanks.. I think." I replied. Ed laughed and starts packing away his stuff.
   "Don't forget your calculator."
   "Thanks. See you tomorrow!"
   "Bye!" I smiled at him and watched as he walked out the front door. I also packed away my stuff into my school bag and hung it up by the front door. ''Ugh." I groaned, flopping onto the sofa. All this math has given me a headache. I heard the front door click and I could only hope it was Jason. The air smelt like chips and burgers and as I opened my eyes I saw Jason standing next to me holding McDonald's.
   "You're too good for me. If you keep feeding me like this, i'm going to become overweight."
   "I'd still love you even if you were." He smiled. Did he just say he loves me?
   "Jason?"
   "Yes?"
   "I love you."
   "I love you too." He leaned forward and placed a small kiss on my lips. I looked up into his green eyes and smiled. For the first time in awhile, I felt truly happy.

   Double Trouble Chapter 18
   The throbbing in my head had almost disappeared but the aching in the wrest of my body was still as strong as I remembered. I watched as the nurse ran around searching for something. She's a weird woman, probably around the age of fifty but she seemed to think she was younger. Her skin's bright orange from the fake tan and her hair's always tangled and back combed. ''Can I leave now?'' I asked. ''Not until you start feeling better.'' She replied. ''But I am better. I feel fine!'' I lied. She sighed before replying, ''Fine, go on then. Get to class.'' I glanced up at the clock it was 1pm. I was unconscious for four hours! I scan the room for my backpack and start heading to class.
   The rest of the day flew past in a blur, every move ached though but my mind was filled with questions all day, almost all of them about Jason. Are we together? We've kissed and we act like a couple but we've never really spoken about that before. Does he think about all this too? wouldn't he have said by now if he wanted to be my boyfriend though.. Does he love me? he's never said he does. What about Amy? that night of the party, I never got the full story on that. Is he cheating on me with Amy? she would have said something wouldn't she? Wait maybe that's what she wanted to tell me about at Lunch. I need to call Amy. The questions spin around my head causing the throbbing to become more painful. I slide my phone out of my pocket and dial Amys number. Come on, answer. 'Hello?' Amy says. ''Hey ames, it's me Lucy!'' I reply.
   ''What did you want to talk to me about?'
   ''Just, I saw you kiss that guy this morning..'' Amy says her voice becoming serious now. ''And he looked a lot like Jason. You know? The guy from the party. Are you dating him?''
   ''No! Well maybe, I don't even know myself. I'm sorry. '' I whisper.
   ''He's my roommate. I-I just, I never saw him as more than a friend but recently everythings been confusing, we kissed and he-"
   "No. Stop. I don't want to hear anymore.'' Amy cries. ''Lucy how could you? You know how much I like him! Why didn't you tell me that he was your roommate?"
   ''I didn't realise that they were the same guy, well I had my suspicions but I guess it all kind of slipped from my mind. I'm sorry.''
   ''Stop saying sorry Lucy! I don't want to hear it. And what happened to best friends telling each other everything?"
   "I-I, just-" The words couldn't seem to form in my mouth.
   ''Save it.'' Amy mutters coldly. I pull the duvet over my head and sink down under it with no intention of coming back up. Why? Why didn't I tell her? That's what a good friend would have done, right? 'Well you're not a good friend.' The voice in my head replies. ''Lucy?'' I hear Jason shout up the stairs. He must be home from college, any chances of me having some peace are gone. Maybe if I don't reply he might think i'm asleep. I hear his footsteps becoming louder with each step. Closing my eyes and rolling onto my side, I pray that he'll fall for this. My bedroom door clicks and it makes me feel little again. When I used to pretend to be asleep when mom and dad came to check on me. The memories bring back tears, so I squeeze my eyes shut tighter to hold them back. Jason jumps onto the bed and lays next to me. For a second I wonder if he's really there but his warm breath on my face gives it away. ''Leave me alone.'' the voice in my head cries. He traces the outline of my face with my hand and I almost push it away but then I remember i'm supposed to be sleeping. He kisses my check and eventually, he sighs and exits the room. I wait a minute before I open my eyes. Just to be careful. I'm alone now. I let out the tears that I was holding back and my mascara begins to run down my face. I don't care. I don't care about anything right now. ''I messed everything up.'' I whisper. ''My mom and dad want nothing to do with me. My best friend hates me. I spend most my days getting drunk or getting high. I almost killed my ex -bestfriend. I ruined everything. The only hope I have left is Jason but he'll leave too. Like everyone else. I'll just end up ruining his life too.''

   Double Trouble Chapter 17
   I looked up to see Jason fast asleep snoring. I lay there for a minute watching him. He's so cute in his sleep. But I could never tell him that.
   I quickly looked away when I saw his eyes begin to flutter open but I wasn't quick enough. "Good morning beautiful." he mumbles. Butterflies flutter in my stomach. After a few minutes I say, 'we should be heading back I guess'. Jason nods at me and begins to untangle himself from the blanket. I started to pick up the empty pizza boxes just as Jason says 'it's alright, you don't have to do that.' I grab his hand and he helps me down from the tree house and wait for him while he jumps down. He takes my hand and we walk back to the car together,
   I reached out to open the door but arm was quickly pushed away as he opened it for. I smiled and paused for a second to gaze into his sparkilng hazel eyes. He shot me a smile as I climbed in. I locked my seatbelt and patiently waited for him to do the same.

   I bit into the iced donut as we pulled up into the school parking lot. Jason had bought me dunkin donuts on the way. I ate the last few bites of my donut and wiped the icing away from above my lip. I slung my back pack over my back and thanked Jason as I slid out the car.
   ''See you later aligator.'' Jason laughed.
   ''In awhile crocidile.'' I replied.
   Then he leaned across the car and kissed my gently on the cheek.
   Electric shocks ran through, every kiss felt like the first. I noticed rebbecas eyes flicker with envy as I walked past her. I smirked to myself just as Amy came running over to me, dropping a few books as she ran. ''What was that all about?'' She asked confused. ''What?'' I asked almost as confused as her.'' 'The kiss.'' She whispered. Just as I opened my mouth to reply the first bell rang signaling that we should be heading to class. ''I'll tell you at lunch.'' We headed of to class in opposite directions and it wasn't until I was the other side of school I realized I had no idea what lesson was next. I groaned as I looked down at my time table.

   I sat on the bench with the rest of my team as I looked across I could make out some faces, ariana, lisa, louise, emily, and bella. I guess I could have worse. We were playing dodge ball. I'll be suprised if I make it out of here, un harmed. The first ball hit hit me in the face then the leg, then the next thing I knew I was laying on the floor with a throbbing pain in my head. 'Lucy?' I heard my name being shouted repeatedly by people and that's when it all went blurry and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the nurses office with a ice pack on my head.

   Double Trouble Chapter 16
   "What do you think?" I asked, twirling around in the lacy orange dress and black high heels.Jason looked up from his phone and smiled at me. "Perfect." I wobbled to a stop as I realized I was still spinning. "Steady." He laughed. "So are you getting this one?" I glanced over at the rack of previous dresses i'd tried on and finally decided to agree. "Be right back." Jason smirked. "oh-okay,," I said confused. I was coming closer and closer to the cashier and Jason was nowhere to be seen. I felt a hand on my shoulder and as I spun my head around I became face to face with Jason. "Here." Jason said handing me a pair of white feather earrings. "Just for a little extra." I gasped. "They're beautiful. Thankyou."

   "Where are we going?" I asked. We'd been driving for about an hour now and I had no idea where we were going. We'd stopped once for me to try on my new outfit and not to sound vain but I felt truly beautiful. "We're here now." Jason grinned. It was dark outside but I could see lights shining above us. Jason opened my door like a gentlemen. I took his hand and he leaded me over to a tree. He lifted me up as it was hard with my heels on. I looked around and could see bright twinkling lights all around and a large blanket placed over the floor. The smell of pizza filled my nose and I was so absorbed in my surroundings I didn't even noticed Jason climb up and join me. "Suprise." He whispered in my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I leaned back dazzled as Jason flicked a switch and a TV switched on. I watched as The Notebook began to play. "It's my favorite! How'd you know?" I asked. "Secret." I smiled at him and leaned back in his arms. "The pizza!"Jason shouted. As he leaned over to pull the box over to us. I picked up the first slice and bit into it. It was like heaven in my mouth. We continued eating until we were both too full to eat anymore. Then we lay back in each others arms and tucked the blanket tight around us. Before we knew it were asleep.

   Double Trouble Chapter 15
   I saw a flash of shock run through Jasons face but not long after it returned to normal. We sat in silence for a few minutes the only noise was the clock ticking in the kitchen. Just as I began to get up and leave the awkward silence Jason grabbed my arm. "Lucy.." Jason began to say. "Yes Jason?" He pulled me back down and cradled me in his arms. "I'm so sorry" he whisphered as he began to play with my hair. "Why? it's not your fault." I replied. "I wish you'd told me before."he paused before saying "is that how you got those scars all over your back and neck?" I swallowed before muttering, "yes". He pulled me into his arms tighter. Somehow I felt safe with Jason, curled up in his arms. A tear escaped my eye and I watched as it splashed onto Jasons shirt. "Let me see them." He said. I didn't reply instead I just shifted out of his arms and lifted up the back of my shirt. He gasped and then tried to cover it with a cough. He wasn't fooling me though. Nobody had ever seen my scars well except the doctors and my parents, but they want nothing to do with me now anyway. He pulled back down my shirt and scooped me into his arms again. We just lay there and before I knew it I was asleep.

   As I awoke I looked up to see Jasons face smiling down at me. "You're so cute when you're sleeping." I smiled back and buried my face in his shoulder. He started stroking my hair and for once I felt wanted. "Come on, let's get you some breakfast." Wait what? I thought to myself. I glanced over at Jasons watch to see it read 9:00 am. "We slept for 15 hours!" I said shocked. "You slept for 15 hours" Jason replied. He carried me out in his arms into the kitchen and carefully put me down on the chair. I giggled as he wiped a fallen eyelash from my cheek. He quickly spun around and began to fry some bacon and eggs. I sniffed as the smell filled the room. "Smells good." I smiled. Jason quickly began serving them onto the plates and placing them on the table. I started eating as soon as soon as the plate hit the table. Jason beamed at me as he saw me tucking into the delicious food. "Hungry much?" He laughed. I didn't reply instead I just simply nodded my head and finished eating. When i'd finished I leaned back into my chair and rubbed my stomach. "So for today I was thinking we should go shopping." Jason said breaking the silence. Shocked that he'd brought up the idea, I answered "but you hate shopping? and I have no money anyway.." Jason laughed, "I know you don't but I do." "Now go run off and get ready."I quickly got up and skipped off to my room.
   I searched through my closet for something to wear before finally settling with a pair of purple denim shorts and a white tank top. After I got dressed I picked up my make up bag and headed to the bathroom.
   I placed the bag on the edge of the sink and splashed my face with some water. I searched around for a towel and dried my face. The clock in the kitchen chimed meaning it was now 10 am. I better hurry up. Reaching for my make up bag I pulled out my foundation and began to rub into into my face until it was all rubbed in. Then I started to apply my mascara and eyeliner. I took one last look in the mirror and walked off to find Jason. As I opened the door I looked around to see him leaning against the front door. He looked breathtaking in his ripped jeans and blue just do it shirt. It was simple but he looked perfect. Wait? since when did I start thinking of Jason like this? Well I suppose i've always thought of him this way. "Ready?" He asked as I walked over to him. "Ready." I smiled as he slipped his hand into mine. I followed him out to his car and swung open the car door. I watched as Jason politley shut the door for me and walked round to the other side of the car. He started the engine and I sang along as Taylor Swift - Ours started playing on the radio. He reached for my hand and I held it tightly. For once everything felt just perfect.

   It suddenly hit me what was happening. I was kissing Jason. Wait what? I was kissing Jason and I wasn't trying to stop? I tried to lift my arms to push him away but they wouldn't budge. I had lost complete control. He must have noticed what I was feeling, as he stopped for a minute to ask if I was okay. 'Um yeah, I - I just need some water.' I mumbled. He stepped backwards so I could pass. I quickly ran out the room and down the corridor. Suddenly I heard the sound of his footsteps behind me. I paused and glanced back but quickly continued walking before I could spot me. I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and glugged it down as quickly as I could. 'Hey slow down, you'll choke.' Jason laughed, 'What? Do you find me choking amusing?' I asked coldly. His cheeks went red as he quickly replied 'no'. 'Good.' I muttered whilst storming out the door. I sat down down on the couch and rested my head in my heads. 'Hey can I ask you something?' Jason asked while he sat down next to me. 'Yeah.. what?' I replied.
   'Why does Rebecca hate you so much?' He asked. I froze for a second.
   I swore to myself I'd never speak of it since it happened. I noticed he was staring at me so I quickly answered 'it's a long story and it really doesn't matter.' He looked up at me before saying 'that's fine, I have time.' I sighed. 'Fine.' 'It was 4 years ago, we were on the way home from this party. I'd had quite a lot to drink and I was pretty drunk. Rebecca couldn't drive and the only way we could get home was if I drove. It was all fine until half way home, I lost control of the steering wheel and we crashed. It was pretty nasty. The scar above my eyebrow and on my knee are from the crash. Rebecca was worse though, she was in hospital for weeks. She never forgave me for it, no matter how many time I apologized. It was an accident, I didn't plan for us to get hurt.'

    I started to freak out. Why had my mom called me? Had she found out about me seeing Cody? I picked up my cell phone, my hands shaking I dialed the number as Waited to hear her voice.'Hello.' I heard her say.
    'You called me right?' I asked.
    Yes.' She replied, a slight hint of anger in her voice.
    ' What did I tell you.. about seeing your brother?'. She said sternly.
    I swallowed, before replying ' that it's forbidden..'
    'Yes.' She snapped. ' Then why did you break that rule?'
    ' I - I didn't..' I stuttered.
    'Don't lie to me.' She yelled. ' I saw you with him!'
    'WHAT?' I shouted. ' Where? How?'
    At the pizza place, I was across the road at the hair salon.
    'Oh' I sighed.
    'Listen Lucy.' She said. ' I don't want you seeing your brother anymore. And if I find out you two have seen each other, you're going to be in even more trouble than you are right now. Understood?'
    ' Yes.' I replied. 'Good.' She screamed before hanging the phone up.
    I fell back onto the bed again. I couldn't help but think this was all my fault. I heard a knock on the door which was not long after followed by a voice.
    ' Can I come in?' Jason asked.
    'No!' I shouted.
    Cleary unbothered by my words he swung open the door and walked in
    'I could have been getting changed, you know!' I shouted.
    He smirked before replying, ' well lucky for you, you weren't.'
    'So what do you want?' I asked.
    'To talk.' He smiled.
    I rolled my eyes, ' Talk about what? '.
    'Anything.' He smiled. He began walking over to me, and he layed down on the bed next to me.
    ' Hey, did I say you could lay on my bed?'.
    'No.' He giggled.
    I paused for a moment before shoving him with all my strength. I watched in amusement as he rolled off the bed, and landed with a thump on the floor.
    I walked over to check he was alright, but was quickly dragged down by my ankles. We lay there next to each other in silence for a moment.
    Until I sneakily snuck my hand behind the bed and pulled out a pillow.
    As quick as light, I smashed the pillow on Jasons face repeatedly.
    He began to laugh before, grabbing a pillow and hitting me back.
    I swung, He ducked. He swung, I ducked. I was just about to hit him when suddenly 'smack' he hit me right in the face.
    'Ouch.' I said rubbing my hurt cheek.
    'Oh my god, are you okay?' He asked his voice full of concern.
    'Yeah, i'm fine.' I smiled.
    I leaned back against the wall and closed my eyes for a second.
    I began to feel Jasons warm breath on my cheek and a trail of kisses going down my neck. His touch sent electric shocks through my body. Our eyes connected as he moved to my jaw. When our lips met it was like everything around me disappeared.

    Double Trouble Chapter 12
    I stared down at my half eaten pizza. My stomach growled.But I still pushed it away.I quickly stood up, wiping the tear stains from under my eyes. A waiter came over, so I quickly shoved the cash in his hand and headed out the door. I shivered as I waited under the bus stop shelter. It was freezing. I pulled my scarf tighter around my neck and rubbed my hands together to try and warm up. The bright headlights from the bus stung my eyes as it came to a halt near the stop. Carefully I stepped on, holding onto the handrail so I didn't fall. I made my way to the back. I sat down peacefully onto the window seat. It seemed pretty empty. I looked around and suddenly my eyes caught onto something. I choked on the air as I saw Daisy, my ex best friend sitting across from me. I quickly pulled my scarf higher over my face and pulled my hood up. I turned so I was completely hidden by the window. I let out a sigh of relief as I saw her heading towards the doors. That was close.
    The last thing I need was having to talk to her right now.

    "Crap." I mumbled. "Please don't tell me I left my keys at the restaurant!"
    "Ah!" I shouted. I turned the key in the lock and swung open the door.
    I looked over to see Jason sprawled across the couch watching the rugby and drinking beer. I lent back on the door frame and smiled as I watched him leap up in the air and cheer as his team scored. I quickly snapped out of it as his gaze fell on me.
    "Um, how long have you been standing there?" He asked.
    "Just a minute or two." I smirked.
    " Oh okay,good." He mumbled suspiciously.
    "Haha, whatever." I laughed. Ruffing up his hair as I walked past.
    "Hey! Don't touch my hair!" Jason yelled.
    "Yes captain!" I laughed.
    I poured myself a glass of water from the tap, and wandered off into my room. I threw my bag on the bed and watched in amusement as all it's contents spilled onto the floor. I sighed and leaped onto the bed landing head first into the pillows. I smiled to myself as I sat up, and pulled out my phone from my pocket. I pushed the unlock button as I took a sip of water. I spat the water across the bed as I read 1 missed call, Mom.

    Double Trouble Chapter 9
    I shivered as a sudden gust of wind blew almost knocking me backwards.
    I watched the icy white air float away, as I let out a breath. My feet crunched
    on the icey sidewalk. I looked around to see tiny white snowflakes,floating
    down. I held out my hand and let them fall into my palm, I watched as they
    slowly melted and turned to a drop of water. I wiped my cold wet hands on
    my jacket and picked up my speed a little, I needed to get back inside before
    it started snowing heavily. It was so silent outside.. I could hear my heart
    beating loudly in my chest. I turned the door handle luckily remembering
    it wasn't locked. The house was so silent I wasn't sure wether to be scared
    or relieved that Jason wasn't around.
    " Hey" A sudden voice said from behind me making me almost fall over with shock.
    I spun around to see Jason standing behind me.
    "Talking to me now?" I smirked.
    He smiled right at me and I feel my heart melt. I shook my head trying to
    escape the feeling.
    "Where have you been?" I asked.
    He hesitated before saying " Um, well you know.. just around the town.."
    There was something about the way he said it that almost made me think I
    shouldn't believe him, but I kept my mouth shut to save the arguement.
    He took a few steps closer to me, I stepped back and back until my back
    was against the wall. Jason leaned over me with his arms leaning on
    the wall. I could feel his warm breath on my shoulder. I suddenly rem-
    embered Lucy. I couldn't let him kiss me again, no matter how much I
    wanted to kiss him too. I put my hand out on his chest and shoved him
    slightly. I could feel his heartbeat beating fast on my hand. He stepped
    back, a slight puzzeld look on his face.
    " Why won't you let me kiss you?" He asked.
    "Jason as much as I want to kiss you.. I can't. I can't do that to amy!" I replied.
    I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and walked away my
    head held down. I heard gentle footsteps behind me as I spun around
    to see Jason staring back guiltly.
    "Please do't make this hard for me.." I whispered.
    I shot back around and headed straight to my room. I sighed,and headed
    to my windowsill. I liked to sit there when I felt alone or confused.
    I watched as the snow fell gently, and the icicles hung from the outside
    of my window. Maybe this christmas might just be a good one.

    I woke up that morning with a tasty smell of bacon wafted under my door.
    I watched as the handle clicked open and In walked Jason.
    "What did I tell you about coming in my room with out knocking! I snapped.
    The strong was getting stronger now, It smelt soo good.
    My stomach rumbled,as I watched Jason place the plate by my bed.
    He walked out without saying a word. I tucked into my bacon and filled my empty stomach. I threw on a pairof shorts and a tank top. Not caring how cold it was outside. I picked up the plate and placed it on the side in the kitchen.
    "Morning!" I beamed at Jason.
    He ignored me,in fact he didn't even look up. Is he still mad at me about yesterday? Come on, who makes someone breakfasts and then ignores them?
    I will seriously never understand guys.
    I began to walk out the door, when I heard Jason speak from behind me..
    "hey, where you going?" he asked.
    " To school." I replied.
    "Then im taking you!" He insisted.
    " Fine.." I sighed.
    He followed him out to his car,accidently tripping on the way. I blushed and hoped Jason hadn't seen. We switched on the raoi and didn't talk all the way there. That's the funny thing about when me and Jason are together it seems like it should be boring but it isn't. We pulled up into the parking lot of the school, I hitched by bag back up on my shoulder and jumped out the car.
    "Byeee." I almost sang,before slamming the door and heading into school.
    A sudden gust of wind blew, and nearly knocked me backwards. I pushed my hair out of my face and kept walking. My first lesson was math.
    " woop woop!" I said sarcastically in my head.
    I walked in and found my seat near the back. I looked up at the young smiley teacher. A look of confusion apeared on my face, until a girl turned around to face me "subsitute.." she muttered.
    "oohh!" I said, realizing how stupid I must have looked.
    "Textbooks out start writing!" She shouted.
    Jeez she's meaner than she looks. She had us sit in silent whilst she played whale noises. Me and Lucy shared a look before carrying on with the work as Miss began to look around the tables.
    "Brrrrrrrinnnnngg!"
    Saved by the bell.

    I got ready quickly the next day. But Jason was still standing there waiting.
    "I thought I told you I dont want you to keep driving me to school!" I yelled.
    He just smirked and pulled me out the door towards his car. He wrapped his arms around me and shoved me into the passenger seat. Locking the door so I couldn't get out. He climbed into the seat next to me.
    "You know this really does count as kidnapping." I snapped.
    He just gave me a half sided grin.
    "Sorry about yesterday." he said yet again.
    "Just forget about it.." I mumbled.
    We sat in silence the rest of the way there. When we pulled up into the car park. He got out before me and opened the door for me.
    "Um th-thanks." I mumbled.
    I could feel the heat rushing to my cheeks.

    I sat with Amy at lunch as usual. She wouldn't stop going on about that boy she met at the party.
    "He's so cute. Oh Lulu i wish you could have seen him. He had floppy blonde hair. He was just so cute!" she said cheerfully.
    "mm sounds great.." I mumbled not really paying any attention.
    "What was his name..uhhhmm.. Oh i know it was Jason, such a cute name. He took me out on 2 dates!" she giggled.
    My heart sank and my face went pale. What did I care anyway I hated Jason. Yeah but he kissed me..twice.
    "I gotta go.." I told Amy.
    I ran straight to the nurse and complained that I felt I'll, which I did actually. She told me to go home and see how I feel. I stuck my hands in my pockets and walked down the path of the road. A million thoughts stuck in my head. All of them to do with Amy and Jason. He must have been the guy she met at the party, it was too dark and I was too drunk to notice it was him though. I stormed in and slammed the door as hard as I could.
    "Hey what's up with you?" Jason asked.
    "Leave me alone!"I yelled.
    I slammed my bedroom door shut and locked it. He knocked on the door.
    "Lucy what's up?" he asked.
    " I hate you!" I yelled.
    "Look just come out here and we can settle this." he said with an irritated tone to his voice.
    I unlocked the door an pulled it open.
    " How dare you kiss me twice!" I screeched.
    " You didn't seem to have a problem with it at the time!" he shouted back.
    "yeah but know I found out you secretly have been dating my bestfriend!" I yelled.
    I released myself from his arms and walked away.

    "Luuuuuucccccyyy!" Amy squealed.
    "Aaaammmmmyy!" I replied rolling my eyes.
    "So I was thinking we could-" she began to say before I cut her off.
    "We are not going partying!"I shouted.
    "Gheez I was just gunna say shopping!" she replied.
    "Oh in that case let's go!" I chuckled.

    "ooh we have to go in forever 21!" Amy demanded.
    I rolled my eyes. And gestured her to go first. We walked around scanning the rails of clothes. "ooh i like this!" she giggled. I quickly grabbed a dress I liked to and headed to a changing room. I pulled on the black lacy strapless dress. And checked it out in the mirror. It was quite nice showed my curves of too. I waited outside for Amy and I must say she looked gorgeous in her dress. It came mid thigh with pink silk and a puffy skirt at the bottom. When we had finally agreed to buy the dresses we dicided to head off to costa. We were talking about I'm a celebrity get me out of here when I felt a snakey arm around my waist. They spun me round to face them and as I looked up I found myself staring into the face of someone I don't want to remember.
    "Brandon..?"I gasped.
    He smirked. I resisted the urge to slap him.
    "What do you want Brandon? Seriously?" I snapped.
    "You!" "all I want for Christmas is youuuu!" He sang.
    "Beat it." I said angrily. "or do I have to beat you?"
    "Lucy leave the poor guy alone!" Amy yelled.
    "Stay out of this Amy." I shouted. "You don't know what happened!"
    " It was just a little meaningless fun!" he said smugly.
    " It was just a little meaning less fun!" I mimicked.
    "You know what I'm out of here."
    "Lucy wait up!"Amy screeched. "What was all that about?"
    " Amy you know the scars on my arms and my back.." I mumbled.
    "They aren't from fights.. He abused me."
    "Lulu I'm so sorry!"she cried.
    "Don't be." I snapped. "Now please just take me home!"

    I managed to hold my tears in until I got home. I flung open the door slamming it behind me and stormed into my room and leaped onto my bed. I just lay there crying softly into my pillow. I was still crying when Jason came home.
    "Lucy what's wrong?" Jason asked his voice full of concern.
    I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
    "It's nothing honestly.." I mumbled.
    "Llooks like something to me." he said.
    "Come here!" He opened his arms and pulled me into a hug.
    He smelled so good, he brushed the tears away that were rolling down my cheeks. He slowly pulled away slightly. Then stopped and stared into my eyes. The next thing I knew his lips were softly brushing against mine. Butterflies formed in my stomach, although I'd kissed many other guys Jason was different. He pulled away and looked into my eyes for a second as though he could see the lies and pain I've been through. He smirked and the next thing I heard was the front door shutting.
    "that's just so typically Jason." I whispered.
