Long,but worth reading
10th grade
While sitting on my english class,I was looking at the girl next to me.She was the so called my best friend.I was hoping for her to be mine.But she didn't see me that way.After class,she came towards me and asked for the notes she had lost the day before and after she said "Thanks",gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek.I wanted to tell her that I didn't wanted to be just friends,that I loved her,but I was to shy and I don't know why.
11th grade
The bell rang.It was her.She was crying and said to me that her boyfriend broke her heart.I stayed with her,watched a movie and ate popcorn.I was sitting with her on the couch and I wanted to say "I love you",but I couldn't.She said: "Thank you for being with me" and gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek.I wanted to tell her that I didn't wanted to be just friends,that I loved her,but I was to shy and I don't know why.
12th grade
One day before the prom she came to me and said: "My date is sick and he can't come to prom with me.Would you like to go with me"?I didn't have a date so I went with her.After the prom I drove her to her house.She was amazing,I wanted her to be mine.She thanked me,gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek.
I wanted to tell her that I didn't wanted to be just friends,that I loved her,but I was to shy and I don't know why.
Years later
I was sitting on the church,seeing her saying "I do" , to another man.I loved her.I wanted her to be mine.But I know,she doesn't see me that way.
I wanted to tell her that I didn't wanted to be just friends,that I loved her,but I was to shy and I don't know why.
At her funeral
My so called best friend was tragically dead.I was seeing her and on her funeral they were reading pieces from her diary when she was a teenager.That's what she had written:
"I look at him and want him to be mine,I want to tell him I want to be more than 'just friends'.I want to tell him I love him,but I'm too shy and I don't know why"
"I wish I did that too"-I thought while crying.
Moral of story:Never lose the time,if you like someone,go tell them,before it's too late.Even if you get rejected,at least you tried,there's noting to lose,because it hurts more to love someone and not tell him,when maybe that other person loves you too.
