&I can finally say..
my soldier's home. after all this time, crying myself to sleep, hoping and praying that he'll come home early, he's home. After all the countless, "Daddy will be home soon" to the kids, he's f/cking home. Being able to wake your 7-year old daughter up, smiling for the first time in ages, and saying, "He's home. Go back to sleep, he's tired, but he's home, and he's alive, and he loves you" makes me feel better. Tons. Jesus lord Kellin Quinn you don't know how happy I am.. My mom came into my bedroom this morning.
She shook me a little and said "Baby...Baby, Spork died."
Spork is my orange and blue pearlscale goldfish who's had a bladder infection for a few weeks now. I've been feeding her deshelled peas, tuna tank treats, been reducing the amount of amonia in the tank, giving her shrimp pellets. Literatly anything to make her feel better.
When my mom told me I just started sobbing in my bed.
I covered my face and cried like a baby for my goldfish.
" You tried everything you could Honey...Do you want to bury her?"
I felt terrible burying her.
I feel terrible now.
You might think, Dude get over it...its a fish. For me it was the same thing as a puppy or a kitten.
I take good care of my fish to make sure that they're happy. They mean so much to me.
I loved Spork and now she's gone.
