Haha, no! Franklin and Marshall is a college, as well as Bloomsberg. I know I'm quite annoying with this, but I just can't stress enough the idea of choosing a school not just for swimming. Earlier this year, I got to meet a hockey player who I looked up to quite a bit. He was injured at the time and doing a meet and greet. I asked him a simple question: why he switched his commitment in his junior year. He automatically said "I liked Boston College hockey. Not Boston College school. If I were to get injured, I wouldn't be happy. I wouldn't know anyone and I'd be 2,500 miles away from home in a school I didn't like for any reason other than hockey. So I switched to Denver. My best friend was going there, it was a short flight back to LA, and most of all, I loved the school" the funniest thing is, he did this in case he got injured. He played a total of 20 games over two seasons instead of the 60 or 70 he should have. He was always injured and he literally doesn't regret it, even if he didnt win an ncaa title. He loved the school. Don't just choose a school for swimming. Please, just like don't. It's the most unhappy feeling you'll ever have.

Haha, I have a lot of college knowledge (that rhymes I'm so sorry). A lot of people whom I've swam with have gone on to swim in college, so I just pick up a lot of information from them. Plus, my brother's best friend plays D1 lacrosse and so I get to hear the division 1 pressure (a lot of the swimmers are high tier D3 from my school i.e. Franklin and Marshall, Bloomsburg). Club sports are always a good choice, since you can skip them any time. My brother says if he has, say, a micro test and has to study, he won't go. But if he feels like he didn't do well on an exam, he'll go to get his mind off it. He also made so many friends through it since they have a common interest: swimming! It's not structured at Penn State, which is really good. My coach is one of the fastest butterfliers in Penn State history and he said that he didn't like how often he had to go to practice and didn't have the full college experience, causing him to burn out and end up leaving the swim team. No matter what happens though, always choose a school you would like if you /couldn't/ swim there, in case you get injured. All my swim coaches swam D1 college and were some of the best, but they'll tell you how hard it is and how you have to commit to it and if you really want the college experience, just do club!

My friend has times good enough for Penn State and that's the only school she's applying to so she thinks she might swim. At least apply and do club swimming! My brother did that because it's not as much pressure but it's great exercise.

IUP is really good! My friend's brother is going to run track for IUP! Lock Haven is out west, right? I live in the Eastern portion (Philadelphia) and so I don't know much about the colleges in the west.
My friend has times good enough for Penn State and that's the only school she's applying to so she thinks she might swim. At least apply and do club swimming! My brother did that because it's not as much pressure but it's great exercise.
