   hey, Anonymous here.
   i know it's long, and I know I'm not "witty famous" or anything near it, but please read this.
   So, I haven't been on here long, but I don't have to, to notice things. A lot of you are seriously struggling with low self-confidence, self-harm, addiction, abuse, bullying, and many other things.
   so here's to you:
   you have low self-esteem, huh? can i ask why?
   did you say that you're maybe....ugly? overweight? stupid? shy?
   if you did, take it back, because you're wrong.
   I promise that some people out there, way more than you expect, think exactly the opposite.
   what do you like about yourself? no, seriously, don't say "nothing."
   is it your eyes? do they light up a room?
   is it your smile? do people classify it as contagious?
   is it your personality? do you people constantly say "I wish she (or he) would talk to me more."?
   is it your talents? can you dominate a field or court? leave people speechless with a musical performance? juggle awesomely?
   dig deep, i promise you, there's something.
   but you know what?
   that's not all.
   someone loves you entirely.
   not just your eyes, or your smile, your personality, your batting average, or your suprising juggling skills.
   all of you.
   don't count yourself out.
   struggling with an addiction? harming yourself for that release you crave? abused at home or elsewhere?
   there is always someone willing to help.

   please read this, it would mean the absolute world to me.
   this week, I was at Lifest. Five days of extremely talented christian bands playing non-stop to strengthen the faith of other people and help them find God.
   I have a friend, his name was Michael. Michael is one of the nicest people I have ever met.
   We went to a campsite to see some people someone in our friend group knew.
   This 12 year old girl, who didn't even know Michael, walked up to him with a water bottle.
   She said, "No one wants you here. Go jump off a f*cking cliff." and then she took the water bottle and splashed it all over him, along with five other water bottles.
   Michael did nothing to deserve this, she didn't even know him. He was standing there, soaking wet, looking so incredibly sad. But he didn't say anything to hurt the girl.
   He just said "Jesus loves you." and walked away.
   People like that little girl prove why our society is so messed up. Michael told me later that day he's been on depression meds for almost a year, and he's been struggling with self confidence that's been destroyed by people like that 12 year old girl.
   Did i mention he's 16?
   I know a lot of people's stories are worse. I mean, water bottles? seriously? but still.
   I am so sick of bullying. How can someone simply not understand that hurting somone else is just not acceptable? They don't understand the affect words can have, and the things those words can lead people to do.
   I think we could all learn a lesson from Michael. Even if someone attacks you verbally or physically, don't fight back. it's what they want.
   a reaction.
   a simple kind phrase to remind them of how they should act is perfect.
   if you're not religious, disregard the "Jesus Loves you."
   Be brave. Comment your story on this quote. Prove that the world is a disgusting place, but at the same time, invoke people to feel the need to work to change it.

   You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story.
