"I'm sorry dear, I am afraid I can't do that." Janet looked releived, but I shook my head, "You don't understand. I need to get off." Quickly I hit the yellow button, and the bus door opened. I jumped out, pulling Janet behind me. The bus exhaled gas and then turned he corner can went out of sight. Janet stood up, and looked me down, "You lunatic, you could've killed us both!" She sighed, cradling her head in her hands, "Why did you make us get off anyway?"
"Follow me."

Chapter 4
Katie's POV
The road was slippery. The bus must have...slid and crashed into the Jeep that was coming from...opposite direction. My head pulsed and throbbed. I clutched it. Make it stop, make it stop...
Gravity twisted and distorted. I crashed into the roof of the bus. Pain shot up my spine and I screamed. Make it stop... Then I fell foward toward the bus seats. The world went...upside down. Where...Paine was gone. Stop, please, stop... I had no choice...my fist went bloody as my knuckles met glass. I pushed out the window, and crashed into the thick woods. Stop... I laid there.

Sun licked the mountain tops when I stirred. I looked around. The road was atop a sloped hill. Cars went zooming passed, paying little mind. I made my way up, looked at the dense forest floor. There, not five yards away was an iPhone. Not any iPhone. Riley's iPhone. Where was everybody? I picked it up and examind it. A large crack filled the center of the screen. I turned it on and flipped through the applicatons. Woah, I was dizzy. I wobbled. I pulled up an application, one that added text to an image. A took the photo of me and him up. Carefully I typed in.

Chapter 3
Rosie's POV
The teacher exhaled, and then continued, "The principal wishes me to tell you all to not panic." Janet snorted, "Yeah, right."
"...however, at worst they have been in an accident. This may not be true, so do not jump to any abrubt conclusions." The room was silent. We were all on the edge of our seats waiting. Waiting for something, anything more. But there was nothing left to say. We went through first period silently. Everyone eyes were glued to the clock, waiting for that four minute rest between periods. We were present, but our minds were else where. What could have happened? Are they all okay? I found myself thinking these thoughts, despite my indifference. The bell rung, and the students were out the door faster than usual.
The halls were quiet, expect for the urgent whispers. Periods went by. No news. And it was like that for the rest of the day. Students raised their hand in class only to ask to go to the guidance office and call their parents to be driven home. All was tense. Still as death.
I took the bus that day, much ado to the persuation of Janet. For the first time in years, since kindegarden in fact, we sat in our seats, facing foward and talking in rushed talks with whoever we were sitting with. We reached the winding, narrow highway that curved along the mountain. Something shiny caught my eye. A glint of glass. I grabbed Janet's wrist and walked to the front of the bus. And husk women, with a square jaw and large bones stared fixitly at the road.
"We need to get off this bus."

Chapter Two
Rosie's POV
"Did you hear what happened to the bus Katie and Paine was on?" my friend Janet said leaning across the isle. It was homeroom, first period. The teacher sat behind his desk, drinking from a coffee mug labeled World's Best Teacher. His hair rimmed the side on his head, exposing the shiny bald spot. Katie was popular. Paine was popular. I was not. Katie was annoying and self-centered, I didn't really care what happened to her. "No."
Janet's eyes widened, "Their bus-radio-thinga-mah-jig went ofline. Nothing but static." I sat quietly, taking out last night's homework, "So?" Janet sighed, "So they disappeared, dummy!", she snapped her fingers, "Gone." That startled me, then I shrugged. "Sometimes, Rosie, I feel like you don't give a crap about the world about you." Janet scratched her leg. "Well I just don't see how this involves me, you know?" I said. I bit my lip, pointing at the windows. Clouds churned menacingly. "Do you really think the big bad wolf came out of no where and ate them? No, they probably got caught in that storm before it hit us!" Janet glared at me. "Your a big pain, Rosie. Have some fun!"
"Your always so serious all the time. Omigod, it's like your a robot or something." she held the top of my shoulder and screetched, like she was opening a rusty door. She adapted a deep growly voice,"Your control panel, eh? Well let's fire up this baby." she poked my shoulder. "H-A-V-E-F-U-N-S-I-L-L-Y-G-I-R-L." I grinned, although the pokes hurt. A teacher walked in, a squat fat women with a mass of curly black hair. She left a note on the teachers table.
"Students, homeroom is over, get in your seats." We walked slowly ino our seats and waited. "There has been a terrible accident, involving bus 427." A gasp went around the room.

Katie's POV
I don't want to be forgotten. Ever. I might do stupid things, just so I can say I did them.
I am loud, and obnoxious too. If you can't accept this, leave. I have blond hair that falls to my waist, but usually I keep it in a pony tail. I'm short, and athletic. And my voice is like, super high-pitched.
Not that it really matters.
"Hello everyone!" I say as I board the rickety yellow bus. "'What's up Katie?" my friend Nicholas Paine, or just Paine for short. I hop into the seat next to him, rolling my eyes,"The sky." Riley scootches over in his seat and leans across the isle, "Very funny." "I know I am!" winking at him. I wip my phone out and text about a half dozen people.
The bus was alive with chatter and pop music rolled in and pulsed from the radio. My bus is like a party, and I enjoyed it. "Riley, give me your iPhone." I demanded, holding my small palm out. He handed it over, happy that I was paying attention to him. I clicked the sunflower icon and flipped through his pictures, occasionally deleting stupid ones. I am the camera at my face and smiled an atractive smile, leaning my head on Riley's shoulder and thrusting my chest out. Snap, and it saved into his file. I changed it to his background. There, now he can look at me and admire me all the time. He won't forget me as long as this picture stays his background. HE won't forget me, he won't.
I gave it backed to him, watching his eyes light up. I blew him a kiss and turned to Paine. "How's it going sir?" I said, arching my head to look at what he was working on. "Doing Social Studies homework, but it's dumb." he said, smashing the papers into his binder. I ajusted myself so that my legs tucked neatly under my short shorts. "Well, Katie I wanted to ask you-" The bus shot through the mountain highway, that neatly curved around the mountain. "Hey what's going on!" shouted Paine, in his deep voice. "Oh, I am so scared!" I wailed, forcing fake tears out. Paine held me under his arm.
And it happened. . .
